Attachment 5 Questions & Answers Solicitation N3904018T0001 Questions & Answers resulting from emails received 07/21/17-07/31/17.

Question 1:

Attachment 1: Item 0001 Lot 1: Second start date, should that be the 18th or the 8th please?

There is a typo and the 2nd line start date is incorrect. I have attached a revised Attachment 1 Schedule reflecting a 1/18/18 start date (not 1/8/18).

Question 2:

May we propose lodging for only one Lot or Contract Line Item Number (CLIN)? Are Multiple locations acceptable within a Lot? Are you able to consider bids that can only accommodate 50% of peak rooms exceeding 50 rooms per night?

An Offeror can submit quotes for consideration for only one (1) Lot as long as they are able to quote the entire Lot. Multiple locations can be offered for one Lot as long as a minimum of 6 units are at one location/location together. Quotes submitted that cannot accommodate a Lot in its entirety throughout the length of the POP will not be considered technically acceptable. This information is further addressed under Section M of the Solicitation.

Question 3:

With a length of stay for such a long time (January – November) and one location/property offers 20 rooms for the entire length of time will there be different individuals/employees checking in and out of those rooms or will there be one individual/employee in those rooms for the entire length of time? Basically will there be people checking in and out throughout the time frame using the same room?

As this solicitation is for efficiency lodging, as opposed to standard lodging, it is anticipated that employee stays will be 30 days or longer. There is no guarantee of duration of stay. Special Contract Requirements Clause H.2 should be read carefully to understand the risk involved for the vendor.

Question 4:

Although the requirement for this lodging is geared towards apartments, will you accept Hotels that meet the standards set forth in the Statement of Work (SOW)? If Hotels are acceptable, will you relieve some required items namely a mop, broom, dust pan, etc. as Hotels perform daily cleaning?

Hotels are acceptable as long as they meet the specifications listed in the SOW. Please pay special attention to the minimum room size required in Section 2 as this is a common deficiency area for hotels. All the other requirements will be required to be technically acceptable to include cleaning materials (mop, broom, dust pan, etc.) on hotels offering daily housekeeping.
