Disposal of Platform N32253-22-Q-0075 Questions and Answers as of 07/21/2022
Question Answer
1. Is there an incumbent contractor for this? No.
2. Is this something beyond contractors’ capabilities?
Yes.
3. Environmental testing. Are contractors supposed to test/sample this equipment before removal activities? If so, do we include a worst case scenario cost in case there are hazards found (i.e., lead)?
Yes, platform must be tested prior to disassembly. See PWS Section 3.1.2.
4. Can you provide pictures or location on the map?
No pictures. Platform will be staged for dismantle at the Dry Dock 4 laydown area.
5. Is Zoom allowed or does your pre-project meeting have to be connected in person? If in person could you schedule 1-2 days before scheduled start?
Prefer in person.
6. Do you require hot work permits? Yes.
7. Are there any kind of protocols for the current microbiological environment (i.e., monkey pox, COVID)?
Masks required when indoors.
8. When do you have to get a Hawaiian Contractor License? Do you have to have it before award?
Yes, see PWS section 6.1.
9. Could you work through an established Hawaiian based G/C? You know as subcontractor
Yes.
