THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quote and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government does not intend to host an information exchange meeting to discuss this RFI with interested potential respondents.

Military Sealift Command (MSC) is seeking qualified and certified American Vulkan Corporation authorized distributors to provide four (4) Main Diesel Generators American Vulkan Flexible Couplings, part no. RATO-S 531W Balanced Flexible Coupling, in support of the USNS SACAGAWEA (T-AKE 2). The required delivery date is 01 February, 2019. Parts requested MUST be American Vulkan Corporation Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts only. Parts are to be delivered to San Diego, CA. The estimated issue date of this solicitation (N3220519Q4514) is on or about 13 November 2018. After issuance, the solicitation may be obtained on the FedBizOpps website: https://www.fbo.gov/. Respondents shall provide a full description of their capability to meet the anticipated requirement including other possible solutions. Feedback on this requirement is encouraged.

All Small Businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Certified HUB Zone and Certified 8(a) Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will determine whether, a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest. This office anticipates award of a contract on or about 26 December 2018. The Appropriate NAICS Code is 333613, Couplings, mechanical power transmission, manufacturing, which has a size standard of 750. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award.

It is requested that interested small businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to provide the required items. This document shall address, as a minimum the following:

(1) Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, CAGE code and a statement regarding small business designation and status;

(2) Partnership agreements with any large businesses. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. To aid the Government, please segregate proprietary information. Please be advised that all submissions will not be returned.

RESPONSES ARE DUE on November 5, 2018 by 12:00 pm Norfolk, VA local time. Email submissions of the capabilities packages WILL be accepted, please submit to Arnel Ngo at arnel.ngo@navy.mil. Fax submissions of the capabilities WILL NOT be accepted. Submission of a capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings.
