MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND

WOODY WILLIAMS APARTMENTS

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

The following are answers to questions received from interested vendors. This does not constitute an amendment to the combined synopsis solicitation 1: Question: Will you consider apartments in Chula Vista or National City

Answer: Quotes for apartments in Chula Vista or National City will be considered as long as they are within the 20 mile driving radius of National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO), 2798 East Harbor Drive, San Diego CA 92186-5278 and are located in low crime areas.

2. Question: Will you consider apartments that are 700 ft

Answer: No, Apartments must be at a minimum 800 sq. ft.

3. Question: Many new apartment complexes use counter tops with counter stool area instead of dining space. Can this be acceptable if we provide 4 dining stools in lieu of dining table with 4 chairs?

Answer: NOT willing to accept the counter top and bar stools in lieu of a separate dining room complete with table, four chairs with overhead ceiling dining room light fixture.

4. Question: Apartment has a built in desk, is that acceptable being there even though we would provide an actual desk separately from it?

Answer: Yes it's acceptable for the apartment to have a built in desk, but they must still provide a standalone working desk, desk lamp, and deck chair.

5. Question: What is the not to exceed amount for this project.

Answer: Daily rate shall not exceed the Government per diem rate for San Diego, CA.

6. Question: Previous contractor award.

Answer: This is the first lodging contract for this ship. However, MSC does various contracts with different vendors throughout the year. For a copy of a prior contract, a FOIA request is required.
