5.0 NOTES:

5.1 All drawings are for reference only. These drawings may not reflect the current conditions on the ship.

5.2 References will be provided if contractor does not already possess documentation.

6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: NA

7.0 STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIRED:

7.1 Contractor shall contact the Chief Engineer and gain permission prior to commencing repairs or changing valve position. Tag out all affected systems as per the Chief Engineer.

7.2 Complete repairs to existing TELEFLEX Reach rod systems as per attached survey results:

7.2.1 MD-V-6 Suction Remote Valve Operating System: The Remote Operating Station is missing the indicator Scale. The existing system is damaged and does not operate. There is physical damage to the Conduit in the lower level of the access trunk. The existing valve is a butterfly valve with an attached gearbox that requires 10-1/2 turns to fully operate. Replace the existing Valve Coupling

7.2.2 FM-300 Firemain Remote Valve Operating System: The existing Remote Operating System is broken and does not operate. There is physical damage to the conduit routed in the bilge. The existing valve is a 6” angle globe and required 9-1/2 turns to fully operate at the valve. The existing valve hand wheel is loose and requires to be fully tightened.

7.2.3 FM-301 Firemain Remote Valve Operating System: The existing Remote Operating System is broken and does not operate. The existing valve is a 6” angle globe and required 9-1/2 turns to fully operate.

7.2.4 MD-V-27 Overboard Remote Valve Operating System: The existing Remote Operating System is broken and does not operate. This valve requires 21-1/2 turns to operate. The remote operating system is fitted with a 16:1 gearbox which will require 344 revolutions at the remote hand wheel to fully open the valve.

7.2.5 FM-302 Firemain Remote Valve Operating System: The existing valve was frozen and did not operate at the time of the ship check. The existing should be repaired or replaced prior to Remote Valve Operating System repairs. The valve Station Universal joint is missing. The valve coupling quick disconnect is broken. The existing system operates properly, however this valve requires 9-1/2 turns to operate. The remote operating system is fitted with a 16:1 gearbox which will require 152 revolutions at the remote hand wheel to fully open the valve.

7.3 Contractor to provide all labor and specialized assistance for repairs, to include any hot-work, staging, dye penetrant testing or gas free certificates.
