QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

The following are answers to questions received from potential offerors. The answers provide clarification only and DO NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.

1. Would the ship be moving twenty-four (24) hours a day for all four (4) days of the exercise?

Answer: No. This ship will only need to travel to a few general locations, then can drift for long periods of time.

2. Will there be periods where the vessel is not moving?

Answer: There will be longer periods where no movement is required.

3. Does the vessel need to maintain a certain speed (knots) during the exercise or will that vary?

Answer: The vessel will need to make slow headway when being boarded for safety reasons, but beyond that, there will be fairly little maneuvering/movement required beyond leaving/entering port and proceeding to the primary area of operations just outside territorial waters.
