2.0 BACKGROUND
RACEMM performs specialized computational electromagnetics (CEM) modeling which require state-of-the-art computational facilities/platforms to accomplish such tasks.
3.0 REQUIREMENTS
The vendor shall provide the following systems and services:
· Rack configuration solution
· Linux Central Processing Unit/Graphical Processing Unit (CPU/GPU) computational Cluster shall consist of one Head Node and multiple Compute Nodes.
· Head Node must possess the following minimum properties:
· Dual Xeon Skylake 6130 processors (or better) with xx-cores (xx ≥ 16)
· ≥ 16 TB HDD space
· Minimum of 128 GB RAM
· Maximum cache on processors
· ≥ 4 GB graphics card compatible with monitor below
· Each Compute Node must possess the following minimum properties:
· Dual Xeon Skylake 6130 processors (or better) with xx-cores (xx ≥ 16)
· Minimum 512 GB RAM
· Minimum 3 NVIDIA Tesla Volta V100 GPU cards, with minimum RAM per GPU card (≥ 16 GB)
· ≥ 6 TB HDD space per node
· One minimum 30-inch HDMI monitor.
· One USB keyboard.
· One USB mouse.
· UPS for system, but at least for the head node
· NOTE: The Navy will purchase red Hat Enterprise Linux OS software separately from approved government vendor. On-site delivery/setup must include Linux install.
· Cluster Management Utility (CMU) software.
· Message Passing Interface (MPI) enabling software.
· Five-year service onsite maintenance agreement.
· Delivery and set-up of Cluster onsite.
NOTE: It is required that the number of compute nodes be maximized to fill the entire budget of this contract. Nominal number of compute nodes is expected to be between 6 and 10.
