AIR-4.5.5 Radar and Antenna System Division, Facilities for Antenna and Radar Cross Section (RCS) Measurements (FARM) provides Global Positioning System (GPS) testing capabilities to Navy assets. As part of these testing capabilities, the facility uses equipment that produces GPS jamming signals. The existing assets are aging and must be replaced with backwards compatible replacement units.
2.0 BACKGROUND
The FARM has a unique test facility used for the purpose of evaluating, testing, and developing GPS anti-jam systems. The FARM performs specialized RF measurements in which GPS jamming signals in the form of both CW tones and broad band noise. The units to be acquired must be capable of producing these signals.
3.0 REQUIREMENTS
The vendor supplied service (inclusive of necessary materials) shall include a quantity of six (6) jamming signal sources with the following characteristics:
· The capability to produce a CW tone at GPS L1 frequency
· The capability to produce a CW tone at GPS L2 frequency
· Required to produce noise at the minimum of 24MHz bandwidth centered on GPS L1 frequency
· Required to produce noise at the minimum of 24MHz bandwidth centered on GPS L2 frequency
· Power output must be at +10dBm
· Selectable attenuation of at minimum 0-100dB in 1 dB steps
· Required to have a minimum of two outputs
· Output one (1) for L1 (either CW or noise)
· Output two (2) for L2 (either CW or noise)
· A standard Manual front panel control of the units to allow real-time adjustment capabilities
· Must be able to remotely control units via an Ethernet port to allow real-time adjustment capabilities
4.0 DELIVERABLES
Contractor shall deliver the following equipment to NAVAIR, 21770 Priester Road, Bldg 2875, Patuxent River, MD 20670. Delivery date is based on Days After Contract award (DAC). All material and products delivered shall become the sole property of the government.
