Section C - Descriptions and Specifications

DESCRIPTIONS AND SPECIFICATIO

Statement of Work for:

ACU-M1 Upgrade to Linux OS

· Background

The Atlantic Test Range, Telemetry Branch is procuring hardware/software upgrade of Antenna Control Units to Linux OS 64 bit. The Telemetry Branch needs to procure this upgrade of ACUs in conjunction with the continuation of the upgrade of the Real-Time Telemetry Processing System (RTPS IV). This upgrade will support all Flight Test Operations that use the RTPS IV Computer System.

· Scope

The Real-Time Telemetry Processing System (RTPS IV) provides processing and display of data which is collected and transmitted as telemetry signals from the aircraft or other test article. RTPS IV receives the telemetry signals, decodes each individual measurement included in the signals received, computes additional "derived measurements' needed, and makes all measurements available for display in a Project Engineer Station (PES). The actual data displays are then selected by the project engineers according to the requirements of the specific test being conducted. RTPS IV operations are conducted and data processed in a sequential collection of equipment called a stream.

· Objectives/Tasks

The Telemetry & Communications System, INC. (TCS) Antenna Control Unit’s (ACU) are being used to interface with existing NAVY owned TCS antenna systems to track Navy Aircraft . This suite of hardware is already in place at ATR and is an integral part of the Real Time Telemetry Processing System (RTPS). ACU-M1 Hardware Upgrade to run Linus OS, 64 bit. Will complete new ACU with GFE ACU PUB. The old PCBs will be returned to factory for hardware upgrade to take full advantage of new firmware upgrade for improved performance.
