Statement of Work – Marine Hose Brow
Requesting custom designed and built aluminum hose brow to assist with support of fueling hoses connected between the Pier and oilers. The hose gangway will consist of the following:
1. (1) 4’ wide inside of trusses x 28’ -0 spam (measured from edge of brow stand to ship end of brow.
2. (1) brow stand 6’ H x 5’ wide with an integrated 4’ wide and 8’ long approach ramp.
3. The brow and approach ramp are to be Warren Truss Design with a minimum 50 psf uniform live load capacity and be able to support two 8” fueling hoses full of JP-5 or F-76.
4. Construction of structure shall be 6061-T6 aluminum.
5. All welding will be done in accordance with AWS D1.2 (aluminum) by certified welders.
6. The brow includes an angled lip at the ship end with lashing lugs. The opposite end of the brow has removable pin hardware to attach it to the rolling brow stand.
7. The rolling brow stand will have swivel casters. The brow and stand will be decked with RFP grating 1 ½” tall and 1 ½” square bards with skid resistant grit surface.
8. The brow will come with stamped engineering shop drawings and support calculations.
9. The brow will be shipped to Pier 23 at Naval Base Point Loma, San Diego California.
