USS- ARLINGTON (LPD 24)

CNO Avail Maintenance Inport Upgrades Performance of Work Statement Updated

1.0. The USS ARLINGTON (LPD 24) intends to update its existing Commanding Officer Cabin, Executive Officer Cabin, and Command Master Chief Office Officer Wardroom, Chief Petty Officer Mess, First Class Petty Officer Mess, Mess Decks, and Serving Line This upgrade will include the installation of various furniture pieces and coverings. All furniture shall be in accordance with NAVSEA.

2.0. Furnish material, labor and installation required Commanding Officer Cabin, Executive Officer Cabin, and Command Master Chief Office Officer Wardroom, Chief Petty Officer Mess, First Class Petty Officer Mess, Mess Decks, and Serving Line

3.0. Breakdown of Material and Labor:

3.1.1. CO Inport Cabin (03-48-3-L):

Remove existing desk and replace with, DESK 60”30”30”:
Refurbish Credenza, Table “72”36.
Remove and replace 3 person Sofa -Blue color
Natural wood color for everything except couch.

All furniture shall be manufactured in accordance with MIL-PRF-32038A and meet the fire performance requirements of MIL-STD-1623E.

IAW MIL-STD-1623E, Fire Performance Requirements and Approved Specifications for Interior Finish Materials and Furnishings, Naval Shipboard

3.1.2 Executive Officer Cabin (03-42-2-L):

Remove existing desk and replace with, DESK 60”30”30”
Refurbish Credenza, Table “72”36.
Remove and replace 3 person Sofa Blue Color
Remove and replace end table
Binder Storage: doors, 3ea routers
Natural Wood Color for everything except couch.

3.1.3 Wardroom (01-68-01-L):

Table Covers 1 ea 153”42 w/3” radius.; 4 ea 100 1/8 “ 42 Chair Cover- Will replace 30 chair covers. IAW Blue to match the existing navy blue in the Wardroom

3.1.4 CPO Mess (01-33-2-L)

Table Covers; 4 ea 72”36; 2 ea 48”36- Black

All materials used shall meet the requirements of MIL-STD-1623E.

3.1.5 FCPO Mess (01-27-0-L)

Vinyl Privacy Panels : 72”15; embroidered (2ea crows, 2ea Crest) Match existing colors
Table Covers: 3 ea 90”25; 2ea 27”24; 4ea 42”27 Blue Color
Reupholster Booth Seats 4 ea Blue to match the existing navy blue In the Wardroom
Vinyl Fabric

3.1.6 Command Master Chief Office (2-27-2-L)

Desk; 60”by 30”by 30”; Natural Wood Color Sofa: must fit the space due to size restraints. Must be able to take apart and move. 72” available. 30”depth. 2 embroidered logos on back (Arlington Crest, CMC Logo) Blue Color

Bookcase: 36”by 60”by 13” Natural Wood Color

3.1.7 Mess Decks (01-27-0-L)

Table Covers 26 ea Various sizes Blue to match the existing navy blue In the Wardroom Reupholster Booth Seats 8 ea various sizes Blue to match the existing navy blue in the Wardroom Vinyl Fabric

3.1.8 Serving Line (01-27-0-L):

Scalloped Banner Various sizes custom made to fit serving line lengths 3 ea blue to match the existing navy blue in the Wardroom

5.0.Ship force will tell the contractor where all material will be located throughout the cabin,
I.E desk, lights, etc. All furniture must be in accordance with NAVSEA. The contractor
must conduct a site visit to take measurements for pricing and provide a layout of the
cabin with measurements after the site visit is complete. The contractor must provide
pictures of the material that is picked out by ship’s force, to ensure it is up to standard.
All material shall be high quality.
6.0Period of Performance: Removal and disposal of existing system and the installation of
the new system should take 30 business days to complete. Install shall be
completed by MAY 1, 2024.

7.0 Location of Work: LPD-24 NASSCO General Dynamics- Norfolk Shipyard,

Note: For non-catalog furnishings, each custom furniture item must be certified by the manufacturer to be constructed in accordance with MIL-PRF-32038 in order to be approved for shipboard use. See attached the Vendor Submittal Form that manufacturers must submit for certification of each item and attached MIL-PRF-32038 for reference.
