SHAKER SYSTEM PROCUREMENT

STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

1.0 BACKGROUND

This SOW covers the scope of required deliverables for a commercially developed, Vibration/Shaker Test System. The NSWCDD, E42 has a requirement to expand current environmental testing capabilities in support of various programs. E42 contains a wide variety of equipment for recording, observing and measuring performance, position, reaction or emissions of a test.

2.0 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS

Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Specifications

3.0 REQUIREMENTS

3.1 The contractor shall provide one (1) Unholtz-Dickie Model 2XSAI120E- T4000-3 Vibration Test System, manufactured by Unholtz-Dickie Corporation, which consists of the following:

Model T4000 electrodynamic shaker, including:* 3 inch (76 mm) pk-pk displacement

* Automatic table load support 4,000 lbs (1818 kg) and armature centering

* 25.5 inch (648 mm) diameter table 24 inch (610 mm) outer diameter bolt circle

* Suspension with maximum rigidity including one lower and four upper guidance bearings

* Replaceable stainless steel hex inserts

* Expandable to 40k lbf Sine / 40k lbf Random

* Degauss coil, adjustable excitation

- External shaker cooling blower, including 20 ft (6.1 M)of flexible air duct

- Model HE4000 Closed Loop, Temperature Controlled, Recirculating Water Cooling System for the Shaker

Model 2XSAI120E Class D High Efficiency Power Amplifier, featuring:

* 240 KVA output (direct coupled)

* High Efficiency Insultated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) Technology

* Special EMI shielded console, on casters

* Comprehensive operating/status meter panel with:

- Full scale LED display and bar graph for voltage and current monitoring

- Sequence/status pushbuttons for system startup

- Automatic input signal detection circuitry for establishing voltage and current limits for random and sine

- Pushbutton selection for high performance shock

- Amplifier and shaker safety interlock display

- Amplifier gain control

- Pushbutton for external automatic sequencing startup command

- Pushbutton for remote operation through optional remote control panel

* Stepdown Transformer for internal power

* Amplifier Built for Expansion to 2XSAI240 (480 KVA)

Set of interface cables between shaker and amplifier, 35 ft (10.7 M) long (Some force derating with cable lengths greater than 40 ft (12.2 m))

Manuals: Two sets of instruction manuals describing operation and maintenance of the system

3.2 The contractor shall deliver the system to the NSWCDD located in Dahlgren, Virginia.

3.3 The Contractor shall provide a shipping cradle to be used for transport and installation of shaker.

3.4 The Contractor shall provide on-site operational training for up to five (5)NSWCDD Personnel to include interface analysis and general operation training.

3.6 The contractor shall coordinate with the technical point of contact identified below to complete all work to be provided under this SOW.

NOTE: The Government will provide shipping from Unholtz Dickie in Wallingford, CT to NSWCDD, Dahlgren, VA. The Government will return Contractor supplied shipping cradle to Contractor once installation at NSWCDD is complete.

4.0 TRAVEL

The contractor will be required to travel in performance of this contract.

The number of trips and types of personnel traveling shall be limited to the minimum required to accomplish work requirements and shall be coordinated with the technical point of contact. All travel shall be conducted in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR). The following travel is anticipated: One (1) person for two (2) days to NSWCDD to perform installation, commissioning, and training services.
