LONG RANGE OPTICAL INTERRUPTER SUPPORT

STATEMENT OF WORK

1.0 BACKGROUND

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) is developing a Long Range Optical Interrupter (LROI) for PMS408 Expeditionary Missions. The LROI Program will become a Program of Record (PoR). The NSWCDD has a requirement for contractor technical support in developing the LROI system and documentation.

2.0 APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS

2.1LROI Prototype System Requirements Document; and
2.2Prototype Technical Data Package.

3.0 REQUIREMENTS

3.1 The contractor shall provide 1024 direct productive person hours of engineering support to assist the government in fielding RDC prototypes LROIs.

3.2 The contractor shall provide services to include the following:

3.2.1 Continue to revise LROI Prototype System Requirements Document (SRD).

3.2.2 Support design guidance and technical continued support.

3.2.3 Review engineering and program documentation;

3.2.4 Participate in Engineering and Design meetings to be held at approximately every 2 weeks cadence or as needed at the NSWCDD in Dahlgren, Virginia.

3.2.5 Review test strategies and test schedules.

3.2.6 Review prototype technical data package (TDP).

3.2.7 Characterize prototype operational and functional performance.

3.2.8 Support requirements synthesis and documentation for new Program of Record (PoR).

3.2.9 Support development of test jigs, remote-operation fixtures, and safety devices.

3.2.10 Support and review 3D Visualization and imagery of prototype.

3.2.11 Support the production of physical mock-ups of prototype for review.

3.3The contractor shall provide all support from the contractor’s location.
3.4The contractor shall coordinate the required support with the technical point of contact identified below.
4.0TRAVEL

The contractor will be required to travel in performance of this contract. The number of trips and types of personnel traveling shall be limited to the minimum required to accomplish work requirements and shall be coordinated with the technical point of contact. All travel shall be conducted in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR). The following travel is anticipated: Local travel to the NSWCDD located in Dahlgren, Virginia, throughout the period of performance.

5.0 TECHNICAL POINT OF CONTACT (TPOC)
