MODULAR X-RAY LINEAR ACCELERATOR MACHINE

STATEMENT OF WORK

1.0 BACKGROUND

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) requires one (1) Modular X-Ray Linear Accelerator Machine. The Contractor shall deliver and install the machine at the NSWCDD located in Dahlgren, VA not later than 30 September 2016.

2.0APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS
2.1Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Specifications
2.2NAVSEA S0420-AA-RAD-010 Radiological Affairs Support Program Manual
3.0REQUIREMENTS
3.1The Contractor shall deliver and install quantity one (1) X-Ray Machine/Accelerator with the following minimum specifications:
3.1.1Linear Accelerator capable of producing a nominal energy of 1.0 MeV and 3 MeV.
3.1.2The Linear Accelerator shall include a Control Console, Temperature Control Unit (TCU), Power Distribution cabinet, Tubehead, and all accompanying cables required.
3.1.3Focal Spot Size shall not exceed 2.0 mm.
3.1.4X-ray Beam Field Size shall not exceed a 30 degree cone
3.1.5Control Console shall allow for the selection of the desired nominal energy.
3.1.6Control Console shall have an emergency stop and a key switch that allows the key to be removed in the StandBy and/or OFF positions. This key switch shall not allow the key to be removed when the machine is producing x-rays.
3.1.7Temperature Control Unit shall be an indoor type properly sized to allow the machine to operate uninterrupted.
3.1.8The Contractor shall provide operating manuals including electrical schematics for the X-Ray Tubehead, Control Console, TCU, and Power Distribution Cabinet (CDRL A001).
3.1.9The Linear Accelerator shall be installed in accordance with and meet the applicable requirements of the current version of NAVSEA S0420-AA-RAD-010 Radiological Affairs Support Program Manual.
3.1.10The Contractor shall deliver and install the Linear Accelerator at Building 1180 Large Bay, NSWCDD, Dahlgren, VA in a configuration specified by the government.
3.1.11The Contractor shall perform necessary checks at start up to ensure the machine is operating properly.
4.0DELIVERABLES
4.1The contractor shall provide commercial off the shelf (COTS) manuals IAW CDRL A001.
5.0TRAVEL

The contractor will be required to travel in performance of this contract. The number of trips and types of personnel traveling shall be limited to the minimum required to accomplish work requirements and shall be coordinated with the technical point of contact. All travel shall be conducted in accordance with the FAR 31.205-46, “Travel Costs”, and the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR). The following travel is anticipated: One (1) personnel for two (2) days to Dahlgren, VA during the period of performance.
