UV-NIR STREAK CAMERA
DESCRIPTION: UV to NIR streak camera with a temporal resolution < 1 ps and single photon counting capability, recording spectral and temporal dynamics simultaneously. This system will be used for ultrafast spectroscopy of bulk and nano-materials, single photon correlation measurements, and characterization of optical devices, including quantum dots, nano-lasers, sensors, and radiation detectors.
REQUIREMENTS:
MAIN STREAK UNIT:
· The streak camera system shall have sweep modules that can be swapped out by the user.
· The streak camera shall have time windows of 100 ps to 1 ms in length.
· The spectral range of the streak tube shall be 300 – 1600 nm.
· The mean radiant sensitivity of the streak tube over a wavelength range of 300 – 1600 nm shall be at least 0.65 mA/W.
· The mean radiant sensitivity of the streak tube over 300 – 900 nm shall be at least 1.4 mA/W.
· The mean radiant sensitivity of the streak tube over 900 – 1000 nm shall be at least 0.63 mA/W.
· Single photon counting for 300 – 1000 nm wavelength range.
· The photocathode detector shall be cooled down to at least 0 C.
· The dark counts shall be less than 4000 counts/second in focus mode, less than 600 counts/second in a 2 ns window, and less than 100 counts/second in a 200 ps window over a 900-1000 nm range.
· Software and a streak image data analysis package shall be included that are compatible with Windows 7 (64 bit) and higher.
· Software shall be controllable from LabView/Python.
SWEEP UNITS:
· The streak camera shall include a single sweep unit module with full temporal window ranging from 1 ns to 1 ms and a time resolution less than 20 ps.
· The shall also have a synchroscan sweep unit with a time resolution of less than 1 ps, capable of operation at 76-84 MHz.
· The sweep units shall be modules that can be interchanged by the user.
SPECTRAL DISPERSION:
· A 750 mm spectrometer with two entrance and exit ports for spectral dispersion of light shall be included.
· Spectral dispersion shall be accomplished with a 750 mm spectrometer with a computer controlled shutter and entrance slits.
· At least three gratings of the buyer’s choice shall be provided that can be interchanged via computer control.
· Input and output optics shall be provided for the streak camera to be integrated with the spectrometer.
TRIGGERING:
· A synchronous delay generator shall be included that allows the synchronization of 76-84 MHz modelocked laser pulses with the kHz output of a Q-switched laser.
· Shall include delay units and synchronization capabilities to reduce electronic jitter to the time resolution of each streak sweep unit mentioned above.
· Pin diode heads with a spectral response from 400-1100 nm shall be provided to relay a mode locked signal to the synchronous delay generator.
GENERAL:
· The contractor must provide a warranty for the full system for at least 1 year.
· Set-up, initial testing, and service calls shall be provided by a certified representative.
