About this file

This document is a Request for Bid (RFB) Terms & Conditions for the State of Alabama, detailing the procurement process and requirements for potential suppliers. The document provides comprehensive bidding instructions for vendors using the Alabama buys supplier portal, specifying that the award will be made "all or none" to the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications. Vendors are required to submit bids electronically, carefully reviewing each tab and entering bid amounts on the item grid, with the option to enter "NA" in the Supplier Part Number section.

The terms outline key requirements for bidders, including F.O.B. destination pricing with freight charges included in bid prices, a mandatory five-day response window for additional information requests, and strict guidelines for descriptive literature submissions. All equipment must be new, unused, and acceptable to the original equipment manufacturer. The State of Alabama will pay invoices thirty (30) days in arrears, and materials and labor must meet professional trade standards and comply with local codes. Vendors are advised that physical inspection and operational evaluation may be required without cost or obligation to the state.
