About this file

This document provides ordering data for copper-nickel alloy castings to be procured under solicitation number SPMYM224Q0178 for rudder stock. The ordering data specifies machining dimensions for two castings of copper alloy UNS number C96400 to ASTM-B369 standard, with a length of 103 inches, outside diameter of 28.250 inches, and inside diameter of 26.300 inches. The document outlines roundness, concentricity, and straightness tolerances and requires centrifugal casting and machining. It specifies ASME code inapplicability and references supplementary requirements for soundness testing, pressure testing, welding, quality assurance, and product marking. Liquid penetrant and radiographic inspection requirements are defined along with certification of chemical and mechanical properties and weld procedure approval.
