Paragraph 6.2 Ordering Data
a) MIL-C-15730M, Coolers, Fluid, Naval Shipboard: Lubricating Oil, Hydraulic Oil, and Fresh Water, dated 24 May 1995, and Amendment 1, dated 28 Mar 1997.
b) Type:1 class:3 and service:Surface ship, hydraulic oil of cooler.
c) Issue of DoDISS to be cited in the solicitation, and if required, the specific issue of individual documents referenced:
d) Identification of fluid to be cooled: MIL-H-22072. Lubricating oil should be designated by specification or military symbol.
e) Rate of flow of fluid to be cooled: 239 gal/min.
f) Inlet temperature of fluid to be cooled: 110 degrees F.
g) Outlet temperature of fluid to be cooled: 105 degrees F, or rate of heat exchange:
475,000 Btu per hour.
h) Identification of coolant: SEAWATER
i) Rate of flow of coolant, if established: 200 gal/min.
j) Design pressure of fluid to be cooled: 150 lb/in2
k) Design pressure of coolant: 55 lb/in2
l) Whether coolers are for submarine, surface ship, landing craft, or small boat application:

t) Size: 1/2" & 1/4" IPS, wall thickness: 0.065" & 0.095", and material: 90/10 & 70/30 CU-
NI respectively (see DWG) of installer-furnished vent and drain tubing.
u) Whether pressure gage connections are required at inlet and outlet of coolant and cooled fluid sides: NOT REQUIRED.
v) Whether o-rings are required in lieu of flat gaskets: SEE ATTACHED DRAWING
