Solicitation M67400-16-T-0043 Contractor questions

1) do you have time lines for the specific training your requesting

Answer: Training will be conducted on consecutive business days until completed. Training to start no later than 30 September, 2016. Preferred start date of 19 September.

2) this training to take place at camp foster correct? And or Kadena?

Answer: This training is in support of Marine Corps Air Station, Iwakuni and will conducted on site there.

3) will base lodging be supplied to the instructor team

Answer: Lodging at the Kintai Inn on base may be available depending on availability.

4) can you provide the total student participation per class requested

Answer: There will be 28 Japanese local national employees attending training

5) students are all Japanese nationals? Interpretation to be provided by the contractor?

Answer: All students will be Japanese nationals. Per the performance work statement, the contractor shall provide interpretation of all presentations.

6) I was wondering about the RFP you have posted for fire fighter training and certification. Are you aware that one company cannot do both based on the certification boards rules. I have bid on these programs before and lost to a single company that included in their proposal that they would do the training and then provide the certification testing. I asked the NFPA about doing this and they said I could not provide both the training and then offer the certification exams, that this would be a conflict.

Having said this, will you allow a company to bid on one part of the process only, like bidding on providing the certification exams?

Answer: Award will be made to one contractor. Prime Contractors may subcontract the training or certification testing portion. Contractors will provide their subcontracting plan in their submission.
