Q1. Is the courtroom a classified or unclassified environment?

A1. Unclassified

Q2. What is the DPAS supply chain rating number?

A2. Reached out to MCIEast-DPAS POC, he is unaware of a supply chain rating. Therefore, no rating is provided.

Q3. Is there a standard layout of the room available, if not, can you please provide a basic drawing to show your preferred layout.

A3. A sketch of the courtroom is attached. The camera and monitor will be the only items mounted in the courtroom. All other equipment will be mounted on the existing rack in the adjoining room.

Q4. Do the materials have to come from the manufacturers on the SOW materials list?

A4. Items listed as “Brand Name Only” must come from the named manufacturer. Brand name or equal items do not have to be from the named manufacturer but must meet or exceed the specifications provided.

Q5. Is the PTC camera utilized for recording?

A5. No.

Q6. Is the intent to leave the existing display in place?

A6. The existing monitor will be removed and the new monitor will be placed in the same location.

Q7. Will wireless connectivity be an option for the courtroom?

A7. Yes, wireless connectivity is an option.

Q8. Do the microphones have to be hardwired or can they be wireless?

A8. Hardwired only.

Q9. There is no video conferencing camera on the bill of materials on page 6, paragraph 7.2. Do you need a video conferencing camera to utilize with other applications (Teams, Zoom, etc.)? If so should it be a wide shot of the room or Pan Tilt Zoom?

A9. A CISCO Room Kit with quad camera will be provided as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).

However, the GFE is to be integrated with the Creston Control System.

Q10. Video switching hardware will be present but no laptop or other source. Is the vendor providing necessary laptop or other source?

A10. No, the vendor is not required to provide a laptop or other source.

Q11. This appears to be a Teams MTR system. Can you confirm if users need to bring their own media/laptop?

A11. No, they do not need to bring their own media/laptop.

Q12. How many input sources are required.

A12. Two input sources are required (GFE Teams environment and VTC)

Q13. Where will the touchscreen be placed?

A13. On the charging station on the existing rack with wireless capabilities.

Q14. Ten other systems are mentioned, does this system touch panel need to be able to control the other systems?

A14. No, control of other conference room systems is not necessary. However, the new system must match and interface with the Crestron system in the other conference rooms.

Q15. Do any other rooms require any connections?

A15. No.

Q16. Is there any requirement for data drops?

A16. No.

Q17. Is there a site Xpanel for all room systems that this system will be added too?

A17. No, this is a standalone system. However, this system must also interface with the Crestron system.

Q18. Do you need to make phone calls outside of Zoom / Teams? This would typically use a standard called Voice

Over IP.

A.18. Teleconferencing ability through the system is required.

Q19. Will facilities provide ceiling tiles if the vendor is required to remove or alter the existing tile?

A19. Customer will submit a work order to replace ceiling tiles if necessary.

Q20. Can the existing cable pathway/infrastructure be reused for the new install? If not will vendor be allowed to forge their own pathway?

A20. Yes, if at all possible the existing pathway/infrastructure should be reused. However, if not possible the vendor will be allowed to forge their own pathway.

Q21. Can a conduit sleeve be installed into the existing telco cabinet?

A21. Yes, conduit is to be provided by vendor.

Q22. Can vendors use the ceiling grid to mount j-hooks to run cables or wall mounting?

A22. Yes.

Q23. Is the contractor required to handle all low voltage wiring (LV) or will this scope be handled by your own electrician?

A23. Yes, the vendor is required to handle all low voltage wiring (LV).

Q24. Can you provide detailed programming scope that states all functions and features of the system?

A24. See the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
