Question 1) In regards to 3.1, All training will be conducted on a contractor provided training facility. The training facility shall be within 250 miles of Fort Story, Virginia Beach, 23459.
Must the facility where the training take place be owned by the contractor, or is it acceptable for the contractor to utilize a third-party's facility?
Answer 1) The contractor does not need to own the facility, and may use a third party's facility as long as all coordination is handled by the party who gets the contract-and does not require the students to coordinte with multiple parties prior to, and during training.
Question 2) In regards to 3.2, The Contractor shall possess a climate controlled classroom capable of seating up to 30 students.
Must the classroom be located at the same location as the practical exercises or is it permitted to conduct the classroom portion at a different site nearby?
Answer 2) Classroom on site is preferred, but the classroom may be located a nearby site. If so, we request be close and the contractor provide transportation-and the classroom location may not be so far as to impede or degrade training.
Question 3) In regards to 3.3, The Contractor shall provide accommodations for up to 30 students.
Is double occupancy of the same sex acceptable?
Answer 3) Yes, double occupancy of the same sex is acceptable.
Question 4) PWS 3.3 Can the student’s accommodations be barracks style with shared showers and toilets? What dates will the students arrive and depart?
Answer 4) Yes the accommodations may be barracks style, but with no more than 2 same sex to a room. The students will arrive on Sunday 1 April and depart after training on 6 April
Question 5) PWS 4.1.7.13 Will the mock attack include simmunitions? If so, will the government or contractor be responsible for weapons and ammunition?
Answer 5) Yes, the contractor will be responsible for weapons and ammunition
Question 6) PWS 5.1 What is the format (electronic or paper) for the course material?
Answer 6) Either/ or
Question 7) PWS 5.3 When does the government expect to make a selection as the COR requires the course material on 19 March for review?
Answer 7) Selection is expted to be made between 12 March and 15 March
Question 8) RFQ Is food to be included in the proposal? If so, will meals be required on the days of arrival and departure?
Answer 8) Yes food need to be included and only for April 2nd through the 6th
Question 9) Do you have an estimated award date for the above driver training?
Answer 9) Selection is expted to be made between 12 March and 15 March
