Solicitation: M00681-16-T-0074 Title of Requirement: Yuma Audio Video Project Q&A #1 as of 2 August 2016 Q&A #1 do not require a Solicitation amendment. These are answers are for clarification purposes.

Questions Answers 1 Are there existing speakers in the chapel and is there any existing Infrastructure for the speakers.

Yes there are 4 speakers in the main area, and 2 in the cry room. They work, so there is cabling running to them.

2 Are the laptops for build. 1176 (a. x) and build.

1177(c. iii) name brand or equal or will any brand that meets the specifications meet the requirement.

Any brand will meet the requirement.

3 Are there projection screens currently in the chapel, if so what are the dimensions, aspect ratio, and are they electric roll down or manual fixed frame. If new screens are needed, what are the specifications.

Yes there are screens. They are electric roll down and mounted on the ceiling. Cannot get the exact dimensions because of the location but pictures are included. They are in good working condition. No new screens required.

4 In the requirements on page 22: Building 1177 Classroom Equipment Requirements (6 classrooms): i.

(6) 46-50 inch wall mounted displays ii. (6) laptops with a 15-17 inch screen, DVD, Blu-Ray, and HDMI out capabilities do you require a wall plate with HDMI and VGA inputs wired to the displays? What will be connected to the displays and who is responsible for that connectivity for building 1177.

Wall plates are not required, we can just hang the cables from the TV. Cables are required for each TV and type. 6 feet should meet the requirement.

5 Is there an existing equipment list for the current equipment that needs to be removed for each room.

No equipment list is provided, most of the equipment is visible in the pictures.

6 How many inputs, is one input to be displayed on all 3 displays; 2 projectors and 1 stage video monitor for building 1176.

We would like to be able to show 2 different inputs in any configuration of the screens.

7 Monitor on stage, do you require an portable, roll-around mount for the 37"-46" monitor for building 1176.

A roll-around mount will satisfy the requirement, or a built in one would work as well.

8 Wireless microphones, how many with hand held transmitters or belt pack lavaliere microphones for building 1176.

Questions Answers 9 How many classrooms are in building 1177. Six classrooms and the fellowship hall 10 Is the sample classroom drawing 1 representative of building 460 large Classroom.

11 Are there any drawings available for building 460 large classroom.

No drawings but pictures and rough dimensions are included.

12 Are wall plates needed for the ceiling speakers Yes, 1 where the rest of the equipment will and video displays in building 460 large classroom, if wall plates are needed, how many.

13 Will all 3 displays in building 460 large classroom show the same source.

Yes.

14 Is there a podium or other furniture that can hold the audio video equipment in building 460 large classroom.

Yes.

15 Is there a need for a microphone in building 460 large classroom.

No.

Questions Answers 16 Will the laptop computers in (d.iv) and

(e.iv)require dual Blu-ray and DVD drives.

A single drive that can play DVD and blue-ray in each computer.

17 Will the Government provide all required electrical support for the equipment installed for this project (outlets, wall plates, ect.).

The power currently in place is all that will be available. TV locations in classrooms can be changed to allow ease of power connections.

18 Please provide the construction type of the rooms: dimensions of space (LxWxH), walls (drywall/cinderblock, height) ceiling (drop tiles, drywall, truss beams, open, concrete), ceiling height and floor (tile, concrete, raised) for all rooms and spaces for this project.

Concrete for all floors and walls. Drop ceilings in 460 and 1177. 1176 has a vaulted cathedral ceiling.

Dimensions are provided at the bottom of page.

19 What is the distance from the new projectors to the screens.

Distance from current projectors to existing screens is approximately 30 feet. The distance can be changed.

20 Will the monitor located on the stage in building 1176 be located on the stage be in a fixed position or is the requirement for it to be removed when not in use.

Whichever is the least expensive as long as it does not obstruct the view for the audience.

21 What will the displays in building 1176 show (content), will the projection screens show the same thing simultaneously.

At least two separate inputs should be able to be shown on any screens.

22 What is the purpose of the stage monitor in building 1176 (confidence, preview, text).

Presenter / band to see their presentations or music.

23 Are there any structural drawings or blueprints of the space available to better understand the sound requirements and seating layout.

Pictures are included in separate attachment.

Questions Answers 24 Will the line array speakers need to be flown to the ceiling structure or wall mounted on either side of the stage.

No preference, can be wall mounted or flown to ceiling.

25 Is there space below the stage to place subwoofer speakers.

The front part of the stage is hollow, however entry may be difficult for installation.

26 How far is the control area from the stage? Where is it located within the space and will an operator

Approximately 90 feet. It is in the back of the room with direct visibility of everything.

have the ability to have direct view of the projection screens and audio from the stage sound system.

27 Is the requirement of the sound system to have overall volume control only, or would the user need the ability to control each sound source Individually.

Each sound source individually.

28 Is the purpose of the wireless presentation gateway to allow a user to stream audio and video from a laptop or mobile device.

Yes.

29 Will the AV contractor be supplying the physical laptop for the chapel or will this be a government furnished item with a government installed image.

Contractor will supply all laptops/devices for this contract.

30 In regards to the wireless microphones, is the requirement to have hand held microphones, clip on lapel, or a mixture of the two types

31 In regards to the wireless tablet, will this device be supplied by the government or the AV contractor? Is the requirement to be an iPad style tablet or can it be a dedicated wireless touch panel that can provide the same functionality for the AV system

The tablet will be provided by the Contractor. No specific model or brand however it needs to be able to transmit and edit all common video and presentation formats.

33 Is there a requirement for a small control system in each classroom or will the display’s manufacturer remote control suffice remote is fine.

34 Will the AV contractor be supplying the physical laptops for the classrooms or will this be a government furnished item with a government installed image

35 Will the laptops be the only audio and video source in each classroom or will there be an additional dedicated PC as well laptops will be primary.

36 Are there any structural drawings or blueprints of the classrooms available to better understand the requirements within each space

no. a picture is included though.

37 Are there existing cable paths already established between the projector location and where the projector and speakers will be located yes there are, pictures included.

38 Please describe the “control station”. Is this a designated desk within the classrooms in building 460 pictures included, it is a dedicated desk area.

39 Can an AV equipment rack be located at the Yes, preferably under the desk like the control station location pictures.

Questions Answers 40 Is there a requirement for a control system within the space such as a small touch panel or wall controller in the classrooms in building 460 not necessarily, just the ability to connect the inputs to the screens and speakers.

41 Will all the displays in the room show the same image during a Presentation

In building 460 yes. In 1176 not necessarily.

In 1177 yes.

42 Is the display in the rear of the classrooms in building 460 for students to view or is this for an instructor to use.

43 Will the AV contractor be supplying the physical laptop for the classrooms in building 460 or will this be a government furnished item with a government installed image.

dimension are for estimation only.

1176 chapel: 90 feet from the front of the stage to the rear wall where the control station is. 46 feet wide. 30 feet tall to the ceiling in the center. 30 feet from the existing projectors to the existing screens.

1177 fellowship hall: 37 feet wide by 27 feet long. Standard 8 foot drop ceiling.

1177 classrooms: 16 feet by 15 feet. Standard 8 foot ceiling.

460 Large classroom: 29 feet long by 39 feet wide. 9 foot drop ceiling.

460 small classroom: 17 feet by 21 feet. 9 foot drop ceiling.
