M0026323Q002 TWIN MATTRESS Q&A

This amendment is being provided to provide answers to questions submitted. We are unable to provied a formal amendment document (SF-30) due to an upgrade to our contract writing system. Please acknowledge receipt and acceptance of this amendment. The proposal due date is not extended.

1. Regarding the above referenced solicitation, would the Government allow a full container shipment with loose mattresses or is a palletized shipment preferred? The dropoff location is a warehouse with a dock. As long as the product can be unloaded with a pallet jack or forklift, that's all we need. A suggestion could be to plastic wrap them, as they will be disbursed to different places.

2. What kind of stitching? There is no particular stitching required. The mattress just needs to fit the specs outlined on page 3.

3. Does it need a flap? No, a flap is not required.

4. Can you provide a bit more detail on if you are wanting all foam or innerspring mattresses? Either as long as it meets the minimum requirement

5. Would this need to be a blue nylon with tape edge or inverted seams? It can be either as long as it meets the minimum requirement.

6. Will you need any services of removal, disposal and install? No

7. I noticed that you have a 30 day delivery time line which might be a bit challenging for mills to provide full quantity in that time frame. Will you accept phased over a time line for example 30,45,60 days? The 30 day delivery is our requirment. Evaluation of proposals will be based on the contractor’s ability to meet this requirement.

8. Will the final location be able to accept several 53' trucks for delivery? Yes

9. When do you expect to start receiving these mattresses? All mattresses are required to be delivered 30 days after award.

10. I am working to fulfil your request for 90 twin sized mattresses. Are these sizes listed below acceptable? Siena Twin sizes are 38Wx75Lx10H, Nectar Twin size 38Wx75Lx12H, DreamCloud Twin size 38Wx75Lx14H. The required size is 36” W x 80” H x 8”D. Any deviations would result in a technically unaccecptable proposal.

11. Do you have any specifications other than the following:TWIN MATTRESS, 36"W X 80"H X 8"D, BREATHABLE NYLON COVER THAT IS FLUID PROOF, NON-ALLERGENIC, ANTIMICROBIAL, ANTI-STATIC, CRACK RESISTANT, FLAME RETARDANT AND EASY TO CLEAN. MEETS APPLICABLE FIRE RETARDANT REQUIREMENTS 1632/1633/CA BURN TEST JULY 1ST, 2007. It does not list any of the core ingredients. We can quote what we have shipped previously. There are no additional specifications. Previous purchases for the specifications outlined in the RFQ have been met.

12. Is a foam type of inner mattress acceptable assuming all other requirements are met? Yes, as long as the requirements are met you can provide us a quote for what you have.

13. I am reaching out regarding the RFQ for 900 twin mattresses for Parris Island. Is it appropriate for my team to attach a Dormlife branded letterhead with a detailed specification sheet outlining the exact mattress we are quoting (i.e. type of nylon, spring unit, etc)? I did not see anything for us to fill out with these details. Additionally, does your team have a preference digital submission or mailing of a hard copy? Yes that is acceptable and please submit a digital submission as the deadline is approaching.

14. Would you like these mattresses to be foam based or spring based? As long as the mattress meets the minimum requirement, its your discretion.

15. Is there any installation or deinstall required or is it delivery only? Delivery only.

16. If there is a deinstall, is disposal and/or recycle required? No.

17. Do you provide staff to unload the truck? Our warehouse staff will assist via folklift or palletjack; however, it is the contractor’s responsibilty to ensure the truck is offloaded. Delivery must occur Monday – Wednesday between the hours of 0800 – 1530 and Thursday – Friday between the hours of 0800 -1200.

18. On page 3 of the RFQ, "NET" amount is listed. Can you clarify what you mean by "net" and what you are asking us to provide? The total amount that will be listed on the quote.

19. Would the corps be open to accepting PillowTop Innerspring mattresses in said dimensions TWIN MATTRESS, 36"W X 80"H X 8"D WITH Waterproof, bedbug proof. As long as the mattresses fulfil the specified minimum requirements
