FEDLINK Books and Library Publications Acquisition Services

LCFDL10R7500

Questions and Answers Question 1. Page 8 (Section B) of the referenced solicitation shows line 4500 Collection Development Services (C.4.4.7). Section C does not have 4.4.7. Will this information on collection development services be provided in an addendum or is it in a different section of the solicitation?

Please confirm receipt of this e-mail.

Answer: Paragraph C.4.4.7. has been added to the RFP.

Question 2. I have a question pertaining to page 2 of the RFP. In the Certification section, there is a reference to solicitation number LC08R7500. The last RFP to which we responded was RFP LC05R7500. Is this correct?

Answer: It should read LCFDL10R7500.

Question 3. Would CD Audiobooks fall under item 1206 Audio-Visual on page 5 of 68. If not, can you let me know which item number we would be classified under.

Answer: You could put the information in item 1206 Audio-Visual on page 5 of 68 or in item 1215 page 6 of 69 "Other Formats or Source

Specialization" might be better and more specific with the definition. I specifically did not put an electronic book CLIN since in library terms a monograph fits within the parameter and then is describe as to format.

Question 4: Regarding information requested in Section B, our unit prices have a wide range within the electronic book format, can we indicate this or do we need to list do all current catalog prices.

Answer: The gradients are there to give the vendor a blueprint. If a vendor wishes to attach price listings that are truer to the way they list their product then they will be reviewed as such.

Question 5: Our company is now in receipt of RFP LCFDL10R7500. We were previously awarded on a previous RFP. Is this RFP a replacement for our current Book BOA.

Question 5A: In the past, we have received a modification for 2010 (or upcoming year) books option renewal. Is this formal solicitation/RFP taking the place of that modification?

Answer: There are no option years remaining under the current BOA. This RFP will need a timely response for any vendor who wishes to be a Book Vendor for FY 2011. We are currently in FY 2010 and those BOAs will remain in effect through 9/30/2010.

Additional Comment:

Section B has been revised to incorporate Option Year Pricing. A revised RFP has been uploaded. The separate attachments 6 and 7 remain unchanged and are part of the RFP.
