PRE-SOLICIATION ANNOUNCEMENT
Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management, California State Office, is soliciting proposals from businesses with abandoned mine land remediation experience. Specifically, we are looking for contractors who provide design, fabrication and installation of remediation of physical safety hazards associated with the abandoned mines. There are two locations on this solicitation Ord-Rodman Mtn Range (15 sites) and Red Mountain (13 sites), both located in San Bernardino County, California.
The Contractor shall furnish all personnel, facilities, equipment, materials, supplies, and services (except as may be expressly set forth in this Request for Proposals (RPF) as furnished by the Government to remediate physical safety hazards associated with Abandoned Mine Lands (AML).
The projects are set-aside for small business under competitive procedures and the Contractor can submit an offer on one or both projects. The NAICS code is 238990 (CONSTRUCTION OF OTHER NON-BUILDING FACILITIES); size standard is $15.0 million.
The solicitation will be posted no later than August 14, 2017. Please do not ask for additional information pertaining to this opportunity until the solicitation is posted.
Firm-fixed price contract(s) will be awarded based on the RFP’s terms and condition, with an estimated period of performance of 16 months from date of the notice to proceed.
There will be a Pre-Solicitation Meeting and Site Tour for each location, Ord - Rodman Mtns is scheduled for Tuesday, August 22, 2017.
The Contracting Officers Technical representative and technical advisor will be leaving from the BLM Barstow Field Office on August 22, 2017. Departure time is at 10:00 a.m. And, Red Mountain is scheduled for Wednesday, August 23, 2017.
