This document outlines a federal contract opportunity for the Common Very Low Frequency Receiver solicitation issued by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Nuclear Weapons Center. The solicitation seeks further testing of the Special Mode A very low frequency waveform through loading it into an existing VLF receiver and conducting flight tests of that configuration under a sole source justification. The awarded contract was granted on October 1, 2020 to an unknown vendor for an unknown amount to continue research and development activities previously performed under broad agency announcements from the Air Force Nuclear, Command and Control, and Nuclear Intelligence directorate.
