Previous authority for less than Full & Open Competition:

When this requirement was initiated in 2013, Lumenis, Ltd, 2033 Gateway, Suite 200, San Jose, CA 95110 was contacted. Lumenis worked with New River Systems, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSM) and Technical Communities/Test Mart a small business. We initially had quotes from both vendors. When this requirement was funded in late March 2015, the manufacturer, Fotona, is no longer working with Lumenis. They are now the only manufacturer and distributor for the QX MAX.

Ft Benning purchased a QX MAX PO # W81K00-14-P-0584 for $118,800.00. The QX MAX equipment that Evans Army Community Hospital is requesting is $119,396.98.
