Attachment I ITC-RFP-16-0005 Amendment 000001
| Question 1: | Please describe what specific levels are required for access to specialized data on banking/insurance companies and on investment? |
| Answer 1: | Financial data, including sales/revenue, total assets, EBITDA, EBIT, net profits, gross premiums written (insurance companies), return on invested assets (insurance companies), net interest margin (banks), net cost of funds (banks) etc., would be required by entity. Entity information in the US and in as many foreign markets as possible would be needed to have necessary country coverage. It is important also to have the ability to toggle consolidated vs. unconsolidated financial data, and to be able to see the ownership structure (who is the parent, who are the subsidiaries). |
| Question 2: | The ITC would like to have access to a database which will allow for 2 simultaneous users for up to 20 people (to be trained) and only want to contract for 1 license? Is the expectation a kiosk this solution? |
| Answer 2: | We would require a site license so that any USITC user can register for their own, separate account and access the database from their own workstation computers, with up to two USITC users able to access the database at one time (i.e. two concurrent licenses). |
| Question 3: | Would this RFP for a ‘global company database’ be brand new or would it replace an incumbent product? |
| Answer 3: | The incumbent contractor is Bureau Van Dijk(Orbis) - ITC-CN-12-0006 |
| Question4: | Please describe to what level company hierarchy / subsidiaries is needed? Do you require a graphical representation of this? |
| Answer 4: | We are interested in information regarding company hierarchy/subsidiaries for as many levels as are available, with information on subsidiaries to include geographic location. A graphical representation is not required. |
| Question 5: | Does a product need to be 100% Section 508 compliant or would a VPAT suffice? |
| Answer 5: | All vendors should provide a VPAT, and USITC will assess all products in terms of how well they meet the Section 508 compliance standard. Please provide your Voluntary Product/Service Accessibility Template (VPAT) or Government Product/Service Accessibility Template(GPAT) with your proposal. |
| Question 6: | In section C.3.1, it mentions “Access to specialized banking and insurance companies.” Please explain the background and to what extent? |
| Answer 6: | (See Answer #1) |
| Question 7: | In section L.3.1.1.2 one of the bullet points reads, “Coverage of companies in manufacturing, services, agriculture, and raw materials sectors.” Please provide an explanation of what this section means? Are there specific NAICS codes attached to these sectors that would be useful to include coverage on? |
| Answer 7: | We mean this to include all companies in all industries, across all NAICS codes. We do not mean to specify only a particular set of industries or NAICS codes. |
