DESCRIPTION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO REGENTS OF THE
UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN
Market research was conducted, and it was determined that in accordance with FAR 6.302-5 (Authorized or Required by Statute) intends to make a sole source award to a firm with the capability of providing studies in support of the WRIISC.
The Contractor will provide services in accordance with the Performance Work Statement, specifically develop, conduct, and disseminate findings from a translational research project to better understand the pathophysiology of adverse health outcomes possibly linked to deployment-related airborne hazards. The project will:
• Recruit appropriate Veteran participants
• Gather specimens and data from Veterans for testing and analysis
• Analyze specimens to explore potential biomarkers of inflammation and other pathophysiology
• Integrate and analyze basic laboratory and clinical data
• Produce reports and appropriate summaries of findings for dissemination
Please be aware that this Notice of Intent is not a request for Proposals or Quotations. No solicitation document exists, and no telephone or email inquiries will be accepted.
No contract award will be made because of proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice.
The Government MAY consider all Expressions of Interest (EOI) received prior to Tuesday July 25, 2023, by 10:00 AM EST.
A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
