Question from electrical contractor: On a typical installation, we are responsible for bringing the electrical service conductors to the FPL transformer for FPL to connect. Basically we are not allowed in their transformers. Is FPL going to make these connections for the Armory or are the base electricians? Answer: The USCG currently has ownership of the existing 150kVA, 208Y/120V, three-phase pad mounted service transformer. FPL does not own the transformer. The bidding contractor shall terminate the new service cables on the secondary bus lugs of the existing transformer, under the direct supervision and scheduling/coordination of the unit facility engineer as indicated on the drawings.
