52’ SPC-HWX Generator renewal

1.0 INTRODUCTION

The vendor shall remove old generators as well as ancillary equipment, and then install new generators, starting batteries, protective battery box, and battery charger.

2.0 SCOPE OF WORK

1 The vendor shall dry dock and remove interferences as well as 02 old generators from the 52315.

2. Once vendor has removed the old generators, modifications shall be made to the mounting area IAW supplied drawing in order to properly mount the new generator and 12VDC starting battery In accordance with (IAW) OEM technical data. Vendor to provide material needed for structural modifications.

3. Vendor shall install 02 new generators IAW manufactures specifications to include the installation of the remote control/monitoring equipment in the enclosed pilot house, all water and fuel piping, included fuel/ water separator and wet exhaust. New generators, exhaust, gauges, battery boxes, and batteries will be GFE. Vendor is to supply proper wiring for (if needed) for installation of the control/ monitoring equipment and metal strapping needed for battery box IAW supplied technical drawings .

4. Once generators and GFE are installed, vendor is to install wiring to the existing service panel IAW supplied drawings. Prior to initial start up, the vendor shall have a Coast Guard and Kohler representative present in order to properly commission the new generators. Vendor is to contact Kohler reprehensive 2 weeks prior to generator commissioning is to commence. Kohler representative will be supplied based on the location of project. Vendor is to supply proper wiring for (if needed) for installation of the generator to the existing service panel.

5. Contractor is to re-install all interferences and newly required ancillary equipment IAW CG and manufactures specifications

6. Vendor is to prepare old generators for shipping and ship to within 2 weeks of project completion;

3.0 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE

Based on market research, the performance period shall approximately 30 days from the date the purchase order is received. Work to commence 28 September 2017.

4.0 DELIVERABLES

The contractor shall provide the following:

1. Kohler commissioning certificate.

5.0 SCHEDULE. Once contract is approved the vendor has 30 days to supply the SBPL an inspection/ installation report.

6.0 ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA.

The government reserves the right to witness all work.

The government will assess the replacement in its entirety prior to issuing approval.

7.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE.

All work shall be completed IAW supplied drawings, manufactures specifications, and CG supplied process guides.

8.0 CONTRACTING OFFICER’S TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVE.

The contracting officer representative (COR) for the U. S. Coast Guard will be MKCS Josh McKenzie 503.396.7729 The alternate contracting officer representative (ACOR) for the U. S. Coast Guard will be LT Harold Piper 410.762.6188

9.0 NOTES.

All Government Furnished Information and work product shall remain the property of the U.S. Coast Guard and shall not be released to any third party or published without prior approval from the COR.
