Solicitation HSCG38-12-Q-300028
MOD 00001
1. When the RFQ asks for a 'High Definition" LCD display do you actually mean a 'High Resolution' LCD display? High definition typically indicates a wide aspect ratio (16:9) as opposed to a standard aspect ratio (4:3).
Answer: 480i or better resolution, capable of displaying 4:3 aspect ratio, without stretch or distortion
2. What are the line rates or scan rates of the video signals to be displayed?
Answer: 480i or better, 60hz or better
3. Would the 8.4" configuration of the LCD display that has been fully qualified (to MIL-STD's) on the Navy's E2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft be an acceptable candidate for your consideration?
Answer: At least an 8.4” display with the frame no larger than 10” high by 9” wide.
4. Would a slight delay create a problem for your program?
Answer: Yes, any delays may hinder the program and have a mission impact.
5. Are there rails in the console to mount the display or is there just a hole into which the display would slide?
Answer: Top flush mount with drillable flange located top and bottom.
6. Is the requirement for a 4:3 aspect display or a 16:9 widescreen format display.
Answer: 480i or better resolution, capable of displaying 4:3 aspect ratio, without stretch or distortion
7. Is the video input signal from a camera or mission computer?
Answer: Both
8. Is the video input analog (composite) or digital (HD-SDI/SDI).
Answer: Analog composite (Y/C Coax BNC)
9. Is there a requirement for sunlight readability or NVG compatibility?
Answer: Both
10. Is there more than one source input required?
Answer: No
11. Is the loop through requirement for two outputs of the same input or are there two inputs and a loop through for each input?
Answer: No loop through requirement
12. Please clarify the requirement for mounting provisions. Will the display be surfaced mounted or mounted on an arm?
Answer: surface mounted, flat mounted
13. Is there an interest for an arm mount or is surface mounting the only option?
Answer: No
14. Dimensions: 8.5” (W) x 8”. Is this size a hard requirement?
Answer: At least an 8.4” display with the frame no larger than 10” high by 9” wide.
