STATEMENT OF WORK

USCG STATION MONTEREY TREE CARE

Background: Trees located on USCG Station Monterey have not been pruned in at least the last five years. All trees listed have large, over-extended limbs, heavily weighted branches, or substantial amounts of dead material. Those conditions pose a risk to traffic, pedestrians and Coast Guard personal, property and security.

Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies and equipment necessary to remove unwanted branches and reduce hazard in accordance with previously conducted tree survey.

Site Visit: Site visits are highly encouraged prior to proposal submission. Site visits can be arranged by contacting the Technical POC MK1 Scott Barschig at (831) 647-7355 or Scott.M.Barschig@uscg.mil.

Place of Performance:

USCG Station Monterey 100 Lighthouse Ave Monterey, CA 93940

1) The contractor will coordinate a timeline and schedule all work with the Technical Representative. The Technical Representative will be inspecting and approving all work.

2) All debris is the property of the contractor and is to be disposed of in a manner that is consistent with local, state, and federal regulations.

3) Contractors being awarded a contract must have a DUNS number, be enrolled in Central Contract Registry (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).

Period of Performance:

Contractor shall commence work within FIFTEEN (15) calendar days after contract award.

Contractor shall complete all work within FORTY (40) calendar days after contract award.

Applicable Performance Standards/Access to the Site:

1) Station Monterey is a United States government facility. All personnel accessing the facility are subject to all United States federal laws and enforce a personnel and vehicle identification or search to ensure compliance with United States Coast Guard security and facility safety requirements.

2) Contract Construction Personnel and their Visitors conducting lawful business on the facility with a valid need shall be in possession at all times of their current Federal/State issued photo identification.

3) Any vehicle entering the station must have current registration and insurance with the vehicle.

4) Perform all on-site work between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (Federal Holidays excluded), unless otherwise approved by the Contracting Officer and the Technical Representative.

5) During normal working hours, the contractors shall access Coast Guard Station Monterey using the call box located at the front gate or contacting the Officer of the Day at 831-647-7300.

6) There may be areas within the building or office area that may require an on-site security element to remain on-station or to escort contract personnel to and from or through an area to access the work area.
