TECHNICAL QUESTIONS

1. What is the lead time for setting up an appointment for a site visit for this location? What do we need to provide you for the person that would be doing the site visit?

A: 48 hours at a minimum with a primary and alternate date and time so we can coordinate access with landlord.

2. The base period includes MAC work, wiring, trip charges etc. In the documentation it shows Option period years 1 through 4. Do we include this same information in the Option periods 1 through 4?

A: Yes

3. Local Service, BRI’s, and analog lines bill monthly. Are we to include these in years 2-4 or just the first year base period?

A: Option Years should include everything that was included in the base year.

4. Does the PBX need to have the equipment installed to support 36 subscribers initially or do you need to know the system will support this number and more?

A: Must be able to support 36 users initially, with ability to expand.

5. C-2.2 Asks for 2 analog lines to support 2 faxes and 1 alarm line. It clearly says underneath, these need to be separate from the PBX solution. In other bids we have done they have let us put the fax lines on the PRI saving the monthly charge for the lines Also, if we are doing the analog lines do you want one of the faxes to also be an alarm line? The section requests 2 lines for 3 actions; do we add an additional analog line? Two fax machines cannot share the same analog line unless one is programmed send only, but they can go on the PRI.

A: We need 2 analog lines (1) for a fax machine and (1) for the alarm line. These lines MUST be installed outside of any telephone system (PBX, etc). They must be 2 separate analog lines.

6. C-2.5 Patch Panels - This section calls for a DMarc extension and patch panels. In similar bids this was already installed. Would we be expected to supply the patch panels and extension? It appears from the drawing J3 that is so?

A: The patch panels were installed by USACE. The telephone vendor will need to extend all phone lines from the building main point of demarcation to our extended demark (LAN ROOM) in our office space.

7. J2, this drawing also seems like we would have to pull the cables. No problem we like doing that, but I would like to confirm as this would make a measurable difference in the pricing.

TECHNICAL QUESTIONS

A: The telephone vendor will need to extend all phone lines from the building main point of demarcation to our extended demark (LAN ROOM) in our office space.

8. PRI, the FRP does not specifically state to install a PRI, but that is what we would normally do. May I check on that as well?

How is the data being delivered to the suite?

A: DSS is procuring the circuit from DISA. The telephone vendor will not have to do anything in regards to our data connectivity.
