Questions and Answers March 3, 2017 Q1) I found your solicitation on Fedbizopps.gov and wanted to reach out to you for some additional information. Basically, Veteran Awards, Inc. would be working on this as the Distributor with a US Based Mint we have a relationship with. However, in your documents (2.0 Items to be Produced) I noted that it states the following “ All items procured under this order must be produced or manufactured in the United States by an organization which is certified by The Institute of Heraldry.”
If the mint I am working with is certified by the Institute of Heraldry, is that acceptable? As a CVE certified SDOVB, I really would like the opportunity to bid on and produce these lapel pins for our fellow Veterans.
A1) It is acceptable as long as one of the companies in the partnership is certified by the Institute of Heraldry.
Q2) I did not find any photos or artwork for the Pin bid, is it available?
A2) See Page 6 of the Performance Work Statement.
Q3) Has the pin been done before and if so the last winning bid?
A3) Yes, the winning bid was provided by Kennedy Incorporated.
Q4) Please let me know if we can manufacture the pins other than USA Made.
A4) No, the pins must be manufactured in the United State; see Section 2.0 of the Solicitation “Items to be Produced.”
