Section 1. Scope

The scope of this project addresses the need to add Ad-Hoc Reporting capabilities to the existing Crystal XI reporting software. The scope includes Consulting Services for a Crystal XI upgrade, SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence software licenses, and Crystal XI user and administrator training. (SAP recently acquired Business Objects and Crystal Report products are now referred to as “SAP BusinessObjects” products. More information about SAP BusinessObjects Crystal XI software can be found at their website: http://www.sap.com/solutions/sapbusinessobjects.)

Section 2. Documentation The DMA Crystal XI Environment is depicted in the diagram below.

· Current DMA Crystal XI Environment

· SAP BusinessObjects Crystal XI Premium License.

· Crystal Management Server (CMS)

· 2 clustered Windows production CMS servers

· 1 Windows development CMS server

· Crystal Management Console (CMC).

· WebLogic 9.2 production CMC running on Solaris 10.

· WebLogic 9.2 development CMC running on Solaris 10.

· Tomcat production and development CMCs running on Windows used as a backup.

· Crystal SDK. Multiple J2EE applications deployed in WebLogic 9.2 and 10.3 running on Solaris 10 and accessing Oracle 9.1 and 10g databases).

· Crystal System Database

· Oracle 9i in production

· Oracle 10g in development

· MySQL crystal system databases in production and development running on Windows machines used as a backup.

· Crystal reports created using:

· Business Views

· Universes

· Oracle SQL queries

· InfoView. (Out-of-the-box implementation) that has never been used or implemented.

· Developer license for crystal report developers tools running on report developers’ laptops.

· Web Intelligence Report Server The clustered crystal CMS uses a separate windows machine as a crystal file repository to store and retrieve crystal report input and output files.

DMA is in the process of upgrading our operating systems and databases as follows:

· From Windows Sever 2000 to Windows 2003 and possibly to Windows Server 2008.

· From WebLogic 9.2 to WebLogic 10.3

· From Oracle 9i to Oracle 10g RAC.

Section 3. Requirements

3A. Tasks

3A.1 Upgrade and installation

The current Crystal XI shall be upgraded to accommodate the new Web Intelligence functionality. The chosen vendor shall provide Crystal XI Release 3.1 upgrade in the following areas:

· Crystal Management Server (CMS)

· Upgrade SAP BusinessObjects XI Release 2 to version 3.1 and apply the required patches.

· Clustered production environment – Two Windows 2000 or 2003 servers.

· Development environment – Crystal Management Server (CMS) on Windows 2000 or 2003 server.

· Map the Input and Output files from the CMS to the file servers on the network.

· Bring and install the latest Crystal SDK Solaris library files.

· Test to make sure SDK reports, the CMC can connect to the CMS report server.

· Crystal Management Console (CMC)

· Upgrade the Crystal Management Console (CMS) to version 3.1.

· Production environment – WebLogic 9.2 or 10.3 deployed on Solaris 10.

· Development environment – WebLogic 9.2 or 10.3 deployed on Solaris 10

· Bring the Solaris libraries (.iso) files and install latest jar files including but not limited to adhoc.war, admin.war, desktop.war, jsfplatform.war, webcompadapter.war into the WebLogic deployment server. Other war files such as AnalysisHelp.war, dswsbobje.war, BusinessProcessBI.war may be required for the Web Intelligence piece to work. The latest versions of these files may be found at the SAP BusinessObjects website - http://www.sap.com/solutions/sapbusinessobjects.

· Bring up the Crystal Management Console (CMC) and log into the application to test that all the links are deployed properly.

· Test the crystal CMC environment after the upgrade.

· InfoView (Web Intelligence)

· Perform a health check of the current InfoView environment and upgrade if necessary.

· Apply 10 new SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence licenses.

· Confirm all menus are accessible from the InfoView.

· Customize menus depending on user roles, e.g. users shall not see database connection links.

· Restrict data based on user roles.

· Test InfoView functionality after upgrade.

· Integration with Active Directory (AD) / Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) / Department of Defense Common Access Card (DoD CAC).

Currently DMA Crystal Reports uses the default login “secEnterprise” as its authentication type. The vendor shall:

· Configure the Crystal Central Management Console (CMC) login module to use AD (LDAP)

· Configure InfoView / Business Intelligence login with Active Directory (AD) / LDAP.

· Enable InfoView / Business Intelligence login with DoD Common Access Card.

· Restrict report data access based on user roles in Active Directory.

· Test AD, CAC login functionality.

· Crystal Software Developers Kit (SDK). The Vendor shall:

· Bring and install the latest Crystal SDK library files.

· Test and ensure SDK reports and the CMC can connect to the CMS report server.

· Tuning

· Tune-up existing eight Crystal Universes in accordance with best practices.

· Limit resources for users to avoid performance related issues.

3A.2 Training

Vendor shall provide both technical and end-user training on the new features of the upgraded Crystal XI. Vendor shall provide technical training for 6 DMA applications team members who support crystal reports and end-user training for 6 Web Intelligence users. In-house training is preferred especially for end-users but client is willing to travel short distance to a training facility or take online-courses for some portions of the training if in-house training cannot be provided. Vendor shall provide one manual each to all trainees.

· Training specific areas

Vendor shall provide training in the following skills:

· Web Intelligence

· Crystal Universe design and implementation

· Crystal XI 3.1 administration

· Training Modules

Vendor shall provide training and manuals for the classes listed below:

· BOW310 - QA210V3.0 - SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence XI 3.0/3.1: Report Design - 12 students.

· BOW320 - QA320V3.0 - SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence XI 3.0/3.1: Advanced Report Design - 12 students.

· BOE320 - SA310V3.0 - SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.0/ 3.1: Administering Servers - Windows - 6 students.

· BOE320 - SA310V3.0 - SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.0/ 3.1: Administering Servers - Windows - 6 students.

· BOU315 - DM310eV3.1 - Business Objects XI 3.0/3.1: Universe Design - 6 students.

· BOU320 - DM351V3.0 - SAP BusinessObjects Universe Designer XI 3.0/3.1: Advanced Universe Design - 6 students.

3B. Outcome 3.B1 Upgrade and installation Outcome

· Crystal Management Server (CMS)

· Upgraded Clustered environment to SAP BusinessObjects XI Release 3.1 with latest required patches.

· Upgraded Development environment to SAP BusinessObjects XI Release 3.1 with latest required patches.

· All Crystal Reports using SDK run correctly.

· The CMC can connect to the CMS report server.

· Crystal Management Console (CMC) Outcome

· Upgraded Production and Development Crystal Management Console (CMC) to version 3.1 with latest required patches.

· Installed Solaris libraries (.iso) files and latest jar files required for the Web Intelligence piece to work.

· Using the Crystal Management Console (CMS), log into the application, all the links are functional.

· InfoView (Web Intelligence) Outcome.

· 10 new SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence licenses installed and available for use.

· All menus are accessible from the InfoView.

· Users do not see database connection links.

· User Roles created with database Restrictions.

· Working InfoView functionality.

· Integration with Active Directory (AD) / Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) / Department of Defense Common Access Card (DoD CAC) Outcome.

· Crystal Central Management Console (CMC) login module uses AD (LDAP).

· InfoView / Business Intelligence login uses Active Directory (AD) / LDAP.

· InfoView / Business Intelligence login uses DoD Common Access Card (CAC).

· Report data access is restricted to User Roles in Active Directory.

· Crystal Software Developers Kit (SDK) Outcome.

· Latest Crystal SDK library files installed.

· Reports using SDK can connect to the CMS report server.

· Tuning Outcome.

· Compare performance of reports using existing Crystal Universes. Performance should improve by at least 20%.

· Check that application server resources used by Crystal Reports are not going over the set-up limit when running multiple InfoView reports.
