Homogenizer specs
Salient Characteristics The homogenizer must use a high-pressure piston (1-stage) or pistons (2-stage) to homogenize fluid dairy products to standard industrial specifications in the United States. The unit must be able to operate stand-alone (includes and necessary tubing for fittings for stand-alone operation). The unit must be made with FDA approved materials and gaskets. The design must accommodate clean-in-place and sterilize-in-place operation with a sterilization temperature minimum of 90°C.
Specifications Capacity:
· Minimum sample volume no more than 0.5L
· Variable capacity flow rate required so that the range maximum is no less than: 8L/hr and the range minimum is no more than 50L/hr. For example, the flow rate must be able to be adjusted to be at least 8L or under 50L/hr.
· Hopper included with a capacity minimum of 2.5L
Utilities:
· Must be configured to run on 3phase, 480V, 50amp circuit
· Must not require a water source
Pressure:
· Minimum 400bar
