High Speed Digital Camera
Statement of Work
For
AEDC White Oak / Tunnel 9 (TDW)
1.0 PURPOSE
The AEDC White Oak mission is to provide test and evaluation capabilities in support of
Hypersonic national priorities. AEDC White Oak operates Hypervelocity Tunnel No. 9.
Tunnel 9 requires a high speed digital camera in support of Hypersonic testing at Mach 7 – Mach
18. This facility provides world renowned testing to validate models for code development purposes. The camera is meant to expand the capabilities of the Tunnel 9 aero-optics measurement suite.
2.0 SCOPE
The contractor shall deliver one high speed digital camera that meets the following requirements:
2.1 Physical Requirements
2.1.1 10Gb Ethernet Communication
2.1.2 IRIG Compatibility
2.1.3 F-Mount Lens Compatibility
2.1.4 Internal Mechanical Shutter for automatic/remote Current Session
Reference (CSR)
2.2 Operational Requirements
2.2.1 Spatial Resolution: 1200 x 800 pixels
2.2.2 Frame Rate: 50,000 Hz or higher at full frame, 1MHz or higher at resolution of 1280x32
2.2.3 12-bit pixel depth
2.2.4 95ns minimum exposure
2.2.5 Monochrome
2.2.6 Inputs/Outputs: TTL Trigger-in; Frame Sync Out, Strobe Out
2.2.7 256 GB internal RAM
2.2.8 Cameras must support remote and local operation, including black reference calibrations.
2.3 Accessories
2.3.1 All power, data, and auxiliary cables required to operate the camera

2.4.1 User Manual
2.4.2 Statement of Volatility
2.5 Software Requirements
2.5.1 Software package for operating the camera. Tools for exporting data for post processing using other software packages shall be included.
2.5.2 All hardware and software must be Windows 10 compatible
3.0 MILESTONES
The contractor shall deliver one high speed digital camera no later than 6 weeks ARO.
4.0 DELIVERABLES
The contractor shall deliver all hardware, software, and documentation to:
