HC102817T0020 Soliciation Questions and Responses Question 1: I quickly searched for a ship to address, but couldn't find one. Can you forward that information or direct me to the correct page on the bid?
Government Response 1: The request for quote is for the Washington DC area. No specific address will be provided until contract is awarded. See attachment 1 bottom of page concerning delivery address - what is provided there is all we can provide at this time.
Question 2: I saw the bid asks for volumetric compensation which is quite an expensive option, typically this is required for extremely accurate machines like we provide to the aviation industry. Is there a machine accuracy requirement you would also like to state in this bid ?
Government Response 2: The Government requires an accurate machine that cuts items out to an exact dimension every time. The machine we use now has a volumetric 3D laser compensation. That compensates for positional variations within the three dimensional working envelope of the machine. This is what we would like to stay with as it meets our specifications of what we are creating.
Question 3: There is no mention of Z-stroke or a working height off the table, I would assume that you have a particular use for this machine. Would you like to state a minimum working height off the table in this bid?
Government Response 3: The Government requests a machine that has a clearance from the bottom of the CNC router to the bottom of the working table with a clearance of at least 10". This will allow us to fabricate projects that we currently have and will leave us a few inches of room for further expansion.
