MARSOC TRX Support Questions & Answers
RFQ# H92257-15-Q-0131
1. In the Scope it states “target language”. What language is that for this exercise?
Answer: Modern Standard Arabic, Spanish
2. In Scope and section 6 (c) it states cultural or area of responsibility. What culture or region is that for this exercise?
Answer: PACOM
3. In objective it states the contractor will provide support to the TRX-2. Is the only support required for the 19 days of Adv. Communications training or is there additional support required for the overall exercise?
Answer: Advanced comms training only.
4. Section 6 states “19 days of support/training” is the 19 days the time allotted for the training portion or does that include the TRX-s events or is the 19 days prior to the TRX-2?
Answer: 19 days is the full iteration of the exercise.
5. Where will the classroom portion be provided as it states place of performance on Hunter-Liggett but in section 10 (g) it states contractor owned or an approved training venue. Is there going to be dedicated space at Hunter-Liggett, if so what is that space? If it is off installation at a contractor facility then what is the distance from Hunter-Liggett that is authorized?
Answer: Classrooms are available at Hunter-Liggett, unless the contractor needs a specific area to conduct training off of Ft. Hunter-Liggett. In that case, the contractor is responsible for providing the venue.
6. Who is responsible for the classroom and training practical exercises location if location is on military installation?
Answer: The Government will be responsible for providing the classrooms.
7. How many days is 6(b) expected to be?
Answer: 4-6 days
8. Is this a standalone exercise as part of TRX-2 or are the scenario and events tied into TRX-2 and expected to be nested into that event? If so who is the TRX-2 coordinator for deconfliction and scenario development?
Answer: It is a standalone exercise, internally run.
9. In section 6 (c) (1) b. It states participating SOCS-F Marines. How many will be participating and what is the organizational structure and rank structure of the ones participating?
Answer: 6 Marines, E-4 through E-7.
10. In section 6 (g) it states “contractor shall have all permits and logistical requirements to support the legal conduct of this training”. Has MARSOC done a RMT packet through SOCOM for this event to support this block of training? Has MARSOC done coordination with the NSA for this block of training? Both of these must and can only be done by USG personnel as contractors are not allowed to do these Governmental functions and coordination’s.
Answer: No, an RMT is not required because all of the training will take place aboard Hunter- Liggett. All appropriate coordination has already taken place.
11. Is this a follow-on requirement? If so, could you please provide the incumbent contract number for this opportunity? If not, is this a new requirement?
Answer: No, this is not a follow-on requirement. It is a new requirement.
