IUI is a professional services firm established in 1995 with an exclusive focus on the information management disciplines of business intelligence, data integration, quality and governance. We implement solutions to the most difficult data problems — problems rooted in complex data environments or suboptimal organizational structure and information management process.

We leverage our CMMI – Software Development Level 3 Appraisal to develop practical systems to continually improve business process. IUI’s proprietary methodology has always been agile-based – enabling breakthrough performance by building upon small, incremental successes. IUI adopts modern agile practices and knows how to apply them in environments based upon legal management systems (e.g., waterfall). IUI embraces the use of Kanban to enable operational excellence in mission support. IUI maintains a facility clearance to provide staff with the proper security clearance for mission support activity.

What do we do at IUI? We meet information needs. IUI enables fact-based decision making through our holistic focus on Enterprise Information Management. We collect data. We integrate it. We put process around the data. We report information and we create actionable, predictive analytics on that information using the latest techniques in machine learning.

To address these challenges, IUI provides program development, strategy, implementation, and education services that span the full information management lifecycle from where information is produced to where information is consumed. Our highly skilled consultants develop practical solutions by applying proven methodologies, industry-specific business knowledge, and deep technical expertise. Because of our experience and expertise, we reduce the time, costs, and risks associated with strategic initiatives.

Enterprise Information Management - EIM Program Development IUI develops a program to strategically align tactical data projects and integrate existing legacy data management programs like Business Intelligence, Data Governance and Data Quality, SOA or EAI. Legacy data management programs become competency centers within the EIM model. We begin with an information needs assessment followed by a roadmap and program plan in the IUI Incremental Approach.

Program / Center of Excellence Development Development of programs in the form of competency centers for Business Intelligence or Data Governance

IUI's history is building large scale information management solutions to provide access to integrated, accurate, timely and actionable data. Whether it is an enterprise data warehouse, departmental data mart, master data set, meta data repository, data quality assessment or any other information solution – IUI has the experience to do it right the first time.

Enterprise Architecture IUI leverages best practices in enterprise architecture including commercial frameworks like The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) but also extending into Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) and Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF).

Mission Support IUI leverages its data background to support optimized mission performance. IUI’s culture of data enable data-driven, evidence-based decision making. Our support teams enable superior performance through continual improvement.

Data Science Predictive analytics has evolved over the two decades within which IUI has been in the data space. IUI support the most advanced data science tasks from data wrangling to build data pipelines to current methods of artificial intelligence through the application of neural networks leveraging advances in compute power enabling mission applications like computer vision or low-level threat detection.
