SMA Level 3
Functional Responsibility: The SMA Level 3 provides technical, managerial, and administrative direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development and implementation for complex to extremely complex systems in the subject matter area. Makes recommendation and advises on organization-wide system improvements, optimization or maintenance efforts in the following specialties: information systems architecture; networking; automation; communications protocols; risk management/electronic analysis; software; life-cycle management; software development methodologies; and modeling and simulation.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, etc.).
Minimum Experience: 15 years of combined new and related older technical experience in the IT field directly related to the required area of expertise
SMA Level 2
Functional Responsibility: The SMA Level 2 defines the problems and analyzes and develops plans and requirements in the subject matter area for moderately complex to complex systems. Coordinates and manages the preparation of analysis, evaluations, and recommendation for proper implementation of programs and systems specification in the following specialists: information systems architecture;
