Labor Category Descriptions

SIN 54151S

ICG Communications Distribution Designer Functional Responsibilities: Design telecommunication infrastructure consulting with client/manufacturer partners; project quality control; project management.

Minimum Education: High School Minimum Experience: 5 years ICG Fiber Optic Installer - Level I Functional Responsibilities: Install, terminate and test single and multi mode fiber for inside and outside plant applications.

Minimum Education: High School Minimum Experience: 2 years ICG Level 3 Installer Functional Responsibilities: Performs a variety of technical functions required in the installation of electronic security equipment and systems. Performs installation, troubleshooting, wiring, and testing of security video, access and other equipment. Assists with the assessment and resolution of system problems. Performs preventative/corrective maintenance. Installation of video surveillance, testing, and training.

Minimum Education: High School Minimum Experience: 5 years ICG Outside Plant Technician Functional Responsibilities: Placement of underground and aerial copper/fiber cable; working with heavy equipment; proficient with copper & fiber splice work.

Minimum Education: High School Minimum Experience: 3 years ICG Project Manager Functional Responsibilities: Manage installation crews ensuring that work meets customer/manufacturer standards; liaison with other trade contractors; coordinate post installation deliverables.

Minimum Education: High School Minimum Experience: 5 years

ICG Structured Cabling Installer - Level I Functional Responsibilities: Install voice, data, CCTV, CATV cabling in conduits, ceilings, walls and under floors. Assist Level II technicians with testing and other functions.

Minimum Education: High School Minimum Experience: 1 year ICG Structured Cabling Installer - Level II Functional Responsibilities: Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, repair structured cabling systems. Performance of these skills without supervision.

Minimum Education: High School Minimum Experience: 2 years ICG Telephony Technician Functional Responsibilities: Install and program telephone and voice mail systems; perform moves, adds, changes and service call requirements.
