Industry Expert:

Functional Responsibility: The Industry Expert is responsible for defining the strategic direction for one or more areas of enterprise data management, including but not limited to data strategy, data governance, metadata management, data quality management, big data management data architecture and data modeling, and data warehousing / business intelligence / analytics. Responsible for interacting with all levels of management and leadership to advance the knowledge and understanding of enterprise data management, its value to the organization, and its best practices and challenges. Responsible for guiding and mentoring leaders and managers, advising on trends and supporting the resolution of issues, and identifying the long-term strategies for managing data and information as organizational assets.

Minimum/General Experience: 15 years of general IT experience and 10 years of specialized data governance, data modeling, big data, enterprise information management, master data management, data quality, data warehouse, data management or managed meta data environment/repository experience. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to select and develop an effective approach to all areas of enterprise data management.

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited 4-year college or university, preferably in an information technology-related field.

Senior Data Architect Functional Responsibility: The Senior Data Architect is responsible for designing and supporting the business and the technical architecture of a data management program, including but not limited to a managed metadata environment or data warehouse / business intelligence initiative. Responsible for identifying the business requirements for the program / project, defining and enforcing the construction standards that the data acquisition and data delivery developers will use during implementation (the development standards define how the data will be extracted, transformed, loaded, and accessed). Evaluates the physical data model used to store the business and technical metadata and provides feedback on all data architecture-related aspects of the program / project.

Minimum/General Experience: 8 years of general IT experience and 5 years of specialized data architecture experience, supported by experience in one or more areas of enterprise data management (data governance, data modeling, big data architecture, master data management, data quality, data warehouse, or managed meta data environment/repository development).

Project Manager:

Functional Responsibility: The Project Manager is responsible for defining the strategic direction, project planning, implementation, and maintenance of a meta data repository or data warehouse, that will support both operational and data warehousing systems.

Responsible for planning the project phases, configuring and assembling the staff, training the staff, and establishing the short- and long-term strategies for the application.

Minimum/General Experience: 8 years of general IT experience and 5 years of data governance, data modeling, big data, enterprise information management, master data management, data quality, data warehouse, data management or managed meta data environment/repository experience specialized data warehouse or meta data repository experience. Prior experience leading successful meta data repository implementations or data warehouse initiatives, strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to select and develop an effective staff.

Back-End Developer:

Functional Responsibility: The Back-End Developer for the “back-end” of the IT application and is the computer programmer responsible for extracting the meta data or data from its sources, programmatically integrating it, and loading into the IT application. If applicable for the project, the individual uses a commericial off the shelf (COTS) tool to build the IT application.

Minimum/General Experience: 3 years of general IT experience and 1 years of specialized experience in data governance, data modeling, big data, enterprise information management, master data management, data quality, data warehouse, data management or managed meta data environment/repository development. Strong background in programming and SQL database structures.

Minimum Education: Preferably a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited 4-year college or university.

Front-End Developer:

Functional Responsibility: The Front-End Developer for the “front-end” of the IT application and is a computer programmer responsible for extracting the meta data or data from the application and presenting it to the technical and business users.
