1. INFORMATION FOR ORDERING ACTIVITIES APPLICABLE TO ALL SPECIAL ITEM NUMBERS
SPECIAL NOTICE TO AGENCIES: Small Business Participation
SBA strongly supports the participation of small business concerns in the Federal Supply Schedules Program. To enhance Small Business Participation SBA policy allows agencies to include in their procurement base and goals, the dollar value of orders expected to be placed against the Federal Supply Schedules, and to report accomplishments against these goals.
For orders exceeding the micropurchase threshold, FAR 8.404 requires agencies to consider the catalogs/pricelists of at least three schedule contractors or consider reasonably available information by using the GSA Advantage!( on-line shopping service (www.fss.gsa.gov). The catalogs/pricelists, GSA Advantage!( and the Federal Supply Service Home Page (www.fss.gsa.gov) contain information on a broad array of products and services offered by small business concerns.
This information should be used as a tool to assist ordering activities in meeting or exceeding established small business goals. It should also be used as a tool to assist in including small, small disadvantaged, and women-owned small businesses among those considered when selecting pricelists for a best value determination.
For orders exceeding the micropurchase threshold, customers are to give preference to small business concerns when two or more items at the same delivered price will satisfy their requirement.

REPAIR SERVICE
All repair work will be guaranteed/warranted for a period of ____90 days_____________ **insert commercial warranty**.
Unless specified otherwise in this contract, the Contractor’s standard commercial warranty as stated in the contract’s commercial pricelist will apply to this contract.
Ordering activities who wish to return malfunctioning units will be able to do so by either of the methods listed below.
(3) When preferred, ordering activities will be able to bring their malfunctioning units to any of the ACS storefronts or kiosks identified in the ACS Store Front Exhibit, attached hereto. ACS will provide the ordering activity with a replacement unit of equal or better value. The malfunctioning unit will then be shipped to the manufacturer for warranty repair and returned to ACS inventory. If the manufacturer determines the damage to not be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty plan, ACS will bill the ordering activity for the replacement at ACS cost. A full description of the manufacturer’s warranty will be provided with each issued unit. Turn around times for warranty repairs vary by manufacturer and range between 8 to 16 weeks. During this turn around time a replacement unit of equal or better value will be issued.
(4) For remote employees without storefront or kiosk access, ACS will provide expedited shipment for any malfunctioning unit. Upon notification, ACS will ship a replacement unit to any identified personnel. The replacement unit will be activated in one of two ways:
· If the malfunctioning unit is still able to place and receive calls, the ordering activity will call a dedicated toll-free number to report receipt of the replacement unit. At that time, ACS will activate the new phone and port the existing telephone number using OTAPA (Over the Air Programming and Activation) technology. This ensures that the ordering activity is not without service during the replacement process.
· If the malfunctioning unit is unable to place and receive calls, ACS will activate and port the existing phone number prior to shipment of the replacement unit.
Regardless of scenario, the ordering activity will be required to ship ACS the malfunctioning or damaged unit to ACS within fourteen (14) days. Once received by ACS personnel, the unit will be returned as described above to the manufacturer for warranty replacement.
