Commercial Works is constantly looking for ways to make our move services more sustainable.

Except where required by the client, Commercial Works has replaced the use of cardboard boxes with a re-usable plastic crate system (moving crates).

In addition to being a green alternative, crates hold heavier loads, 2.5 times more than a box, require no tape, and can be stacked four high on a mobile dolly for efficient movement.

Commercial Works is specifically geared for workplace relocation services and the transportation of high value or specialty equipment. Our fleet consists of over 70 vehicles, from pack vans to semi-trailers are maintained for optimal service life and performance.

We purchased 15 new trucks (2017-2018) that are equipped with fuel efficient engines to help improve gas mileage. Green driving practices such as reducing idling time, checking tire pressure, GPS/ELD devices, cameras, and routing software to plan more efficient routes are part of

Commercial Works Driver Training Program. Crew cabs are used on assignments so that up to six associates can travel in one vehicle. The entire fleet is equipped with DEF systems that reduce harmful emissions in the atmosphere by 85%.

We proactively participates in the recycling of any material (scrap metal, iron, computers, etc.) in an ongoing effort to reduce and re-use wherever possible.

Sustainability is always a consideration when Commercial Works assists clients with relocation planning. On every project Commercial Works looks for opportunities to minimize waste while maximizing reuse, reallocation, and recycling.

A significant portion of landfill waste is generated by furniture and equipment. Commercial Works helps Clients develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for zero waste with a combination of various options. By maintaining an active alliance of contractors, dealers, non-profits and brokers, Commercial Works can bring a diverse group of interested parties to the table to dispose of surplus assets in a “green”, cost effective and timely manner.
