Labor Description SIN ANCILLARY, Ancillary Supplies and Services
Additional Pilot
Functional Responsibilities: Serves as pilot/copilot and aircraft commander. Pilots aircraft and operates controls and equipment to take off and land under varying flying conditions. Commands crew. Prepares flight plans considering such factors as altitude, terrain, weather, aircraft, crew capabilities, threats, operational and training requirements and flight procedures. Obtains briefing information on flight data, operation procedures, intelligence and special instructions. Maintains flight records. Prepares and files flight clearance. Ensures aircraft is preflight inspected, loaded, equipped and manned as required. Briefs crewmembers and non-crewmembers on safety and emergency procedures and scope of mission. Provides detailed and effective communications with ground maintenance Personnel. Must possess 1,500 pilot hours in the applicable type aircraft. Must possess past or current designation as an aircraft commander in the applicable model aircraft. Each pilot must have FAA-approved training and aircraft type rating to qualify to operate a jet aircraft. Such training is aircraft-specific and must pass the training course with FAA approval.
Minimum Education: Bachelors
Minimum Years of Experience: 8 Education Substitutions: In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, the following experience is required:
Pilot In Command: Airline Transport Pilot certificate, 3,000 total flight hours, 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command, and 250 hours in aircraft type.
Second in Command: Airline Transport Pilot certificate, 1,500 total flight hours.
Cabin Manager (Flight Attendant):
Functional Responsibilities: The Cabin Manager is responsible for the inflight service of company personnel, customers and guests during international and domestic flights. The Cabin Manager must ensure compliance with all applicable regulations as well as the policies and procedures specified in the Operations Manual. The cabin manager will fly on client flights and maintain standard stock for FlightWorks aircraft. This includes being responsible for stocking aircraft, monitoring stock levels and currency dates or perishable items and periodicals. In addition, the cabin manager shall coordinate catering, aircraft cleaning, and other duties as directed by the Pilot in Command. The Cabin Manager also assist company personnel in securing/training additional cabin mangers Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Education Substitutions: In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, the following experience is required: 2 additional years of aircraft industry experience.
Additional Notes
Positioning Fees: When flying out of an airport with is not home base for FlightWorks, the time for travel from its Hub (Atlanta, GA, Manassas, VA or Denver, CO) to the airport to pick up the customer(s) will be added to the Total Costas flight time.
