• Internal Communications — FH provides strategic internal communications planning and implementation to ensure organizations’ internal stakeholders embrace change and do what is required to achieve business goals.
• Brand Building — Fleishman-Hillard is renowned for creating brand building programs that help define new products in the marketplace, and programs that pump new life into organizations, products, and services that have assumed "tired" identities. For government, nonprofit, and corporate entities alike, we have developed award-winning campaigns that have generated major media exposure and led to sales increases.
• Media Relations — Our agency coordinates international, national, and grassroots media campaigns to assure that clients and their products and policy objectives are positioned favorably before key audiences.
• Research — We maintain an Information Center that provides staff and clients with access to a wealth of research, media-monitoring, and information retrieval resources, including up-to-the minute newswires, extensive media databases, and the Internet. Research services also include polling, message delivery analysis, opinion benchmarking and tracking, and competitive intelligence to help our clients better understand their business landscapes.
• Interactive — Our interactive practice helps clients capitalize on new and emerging technologies using the Internet to disseminate news and information to key target audiences.
• Marketing Communications — Fleishman-Hillard provides a range of services
— including media relations, community outreach, special events, design and advertising, alliance building, and materials development — to clients seeking to enhance their reputation or public image, or to launch new products and services.
• Business-to-Business Marketing — Fleishman-Hillard delivers creative, cohesive, and consistent message platforms that shape positive brand perceptions in the minds of decision-makers who influence business productivity. • Hispanic Outreach and Communications — FH Hispania®, Fleishman-Hillard’s U.S. Hispanic marketing and outreach arm, has established a successful record of developing consumer marketing, outreach, and awareness programs targeted at the U.S. Hispanic market. Using a mix of materials, methodologies, and channels, FH Hispania delivers messages, programs, and educational information to the media and the Hispanic public on behalf of a variety of clients. • Crisis Management — Our agency helps clients prepare for crises by working closely with them to develop strategic, step-by-step action plans and by training key personnel for dealings with the media, employees, the public, and others.
• Risk Communication — Fleishman-Hillard has extensive experience working with clients to communicate in situations in which there is significant public and political concern about specific issues, but little trust in the company or government agency charged with handling the issue. We use the principles of risk communication to train spokespeople to communicate effectively with the public and the news media on highly controversial issues, and to build credibility and trust. This training has paid dividends in public meetings, presentations, interviews, and news conferences. In addition, all of the communications materials we develop are based on the principles of risk communication.
• Alliance Building — We build strategic alliances with consumer advocacy and leadership organizations and special markets (multicultural, women, health, education, parents, etc.), with the goal of strengthening the public base of support for clients’ products, industries, and issues.
• Government Relations — Our government relations specialists help clients influence legislative and regulatory decisions by designing strategic advocacy campaigns, communicating clients’ needs and views to key officials, and identifying and mobilizing third-party allies, among other activities.
• Advocacy Advertising — FH designs and carries out creative print and broadcast advertising campaigns that present our clients’ cases directly to the public and other important audiences.
• Special Events — Fleishman-Hillard coordinates planning for high-profile events ranging from facility openings and congressional receptions to gala fundraising dinners.

• Graphic Design — Fleishman-Hillard’s design practice helps clients reach key target audiences through strategic print communications and exhibits, including direct mail, collateral materials, and advertisements.
About Fleishman-Hillard (FH)
History Al Fleishman and Bob Hillard, two former World War II era newspaper people, founded Fleishman Hillard in 1946. Their work began in an office located above a store in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. More than 50 years later, as the largest public relations firm in the world, we continue to serve many of our original clients.
Client Service While we have grown into a full-service international communications firm with a record of professional excellence and superior client service, we continue to maintain the culture and values of our mid-western heritage, offering the same quality of results to all clients, large or small. Quality of service is tantamount. We strive to exceed our clients’ expectations everyday through a research-based, creative, team-oriented approach to communications challenges.
People Employees are our #1 resource. Our firm draws from the wealth of experience, knowledge and resources available from our extensive public and private sector experience, with many staff having worked in departments and agencies of the Executive Branch, regulatory agencies and on personal and committee staffs on Capitol Hill. Our practitioners also include lawyers, teachers and former journalists from major print, broadcast and electronic news organizations.
A Reputation For Excellence Fleishman-Hillard’s reputation for quality, creativity and results is the foundation for our number-one status among public relations agencies. By almost ever y measure, FH is ranked at the top of the industry by clients and competitors alike. Fleishman-Hillard is:
• The only agency to be ranked either first or second for overall quality of service by the industry’s leading trade publication, Inside PR, for consecutive years. The publication called Fleishman-Hillard the "agency of the decade" for this record of achievement.
• Rated #1 for quality reputation for an unprecedented eight successive years of the Thomas L. Harris public relations agency survey. This survey measures agencies’ performance from the client perspective. In the 2002 survey, for the 11th consecutive year Fleishman-Hillard was again #1 in producing quality results, and the Washington, DC office ranked as the top public relations operation in the city.
• Winner of the most Silver Anvils Awards in recent years--the highest award in PR--from the Public Relations Society of America.
