| Grass Mowing and Trimming (Improved Property) |

| Mowing and Trimming of Improved Property. Provide all labor, equipment, and material required for the mowing and trimming of improved turf areas. Trash, litter, and debris shall be removed prior to mowing service. Turf shall be mowed at a height of between 2.5 inches and 3.5 inches, and on a mowing schedule of between 5 to 10 days (as requested by the client). Additional costs may apply if the initial grass height is more than 5.0 inches. All areas around fixed objects such as poles, signage, buildings, or trees shall be trimmed to mowing height each time the turf is mowed. Mowing equipment shall be well maintained. Cutting blades shall be sharpened before each mowing visit. Mowing shall be done in such a way that clippings are not blown into shrubs, plant beds, or tree rings. Clippings and debris shall be blown off hard surface areas and structures. Grass clippings within the turf shall be allowed to decay naturally. Excessive clippings will be removed only upon request and as a separate charge. |

New plant material shall consist of hardy summer annuals (such as marigolds, begonia, or similar plants) or hardy winter annuals (such as pansies, snap dragons, or similar plants). Damaged, declining, or dead plants shall be replaced if caused by factors within the Contractor’s control. Maintenance shall consist of clearing debris (trash, leaves, etc.) that has accumulated in the plant bed, manual removal of weeds, and periodic aerating of compacted soil to allow water to permeate the surface. |
