To us, social responsibility means that businesses should act in a manner that benefits the community in which they do business. Since our expertise lies in the very infrastructure that holds our community together, our engineers choose to serve during public emergencies whenever the surrounding infrastructure is adversely affected. Several of our staff serve as urban search and rescue (USAR) engineers for both state and federal (FEMA) USAR teams, and we also help train state and local emergency services in collapse rescue operations.
This expertise is the basis for our Emergency Engineering service line; a service we provide to various Federal agencies. From hurricanes at the coast to earthquakes to construction disasters, our engineers have provided critical life-saving knowledge to the State of North Carolina and beyond.
Atlas Engineering provides expertise in structural, building envelope, roofing, waterproofing, and site hardscape. Our typical clients operate large buildings, labs, or industrial sites, and they include federal and state/local governments, universities, and hospital and pharmaceutical sites. We also have specialized qualifications in damage assessment and emergency response. We have been in business in Raleigh, NC for 25 years. We are an SBA Small Business and hold a federal GSA on-call consulting contract.
Atlas Engineering’s building envelope and structures team has extensive experience in the evaluation, repair, and modification of existing structures. Our full-time staff has well over 100 years of combined experience in the facilities and construction industry with a specialization in the building structure and exterior envelope. Our experienced personnel regularly work for federal, military, state/local, and public facility clients, and understand the myriad needs and challenges that facilities and project managers face when structural repairs and modifications are needed at their facilities. From advance planning through construction administration, Atlas Engineering focuses on recommending and designing solutions that meet the Owner’s technical, functional, aesthetic, and budgetary needs while maintaining the full-time operation of their facility when required.
